Wow, that looked pretty powerful! I wish I could see it better though!

That was 3 yrs ago and i shot it with my first vga camera.  :)
The quality wasn't HD in those days..

Very interesting vid though!  could you explain what is going on to me? Power source?Frequency?

I see that the coil is initially hooked up to an mp3 player or something along those lines???
I see the mp3 player unplugged and you touch the jack and the put your hand near the coil which make the led very bright???
And then do I see sparks coming off the lower of the 3 pickup coils after you charge it with that probe lead???

Yes the mp3 player was used as the source of the signal in the first part of the video.
When i started to touch the jack the effect basically boils down to the mic that is close to the speaker and starts to resonate.
the speaker mic combo does nothing by itself but the tinyest vibration sets it into heavy oscillation.

The resonance in the mic speaker combo setup is generated in open air.
In my setup it was no air but the fields around the coils.
Important diffrence here is that when using the fields it always starts to resonate by itself.
I guess this is due to background noise...

That is very interesting Marco.  Why did you stop testing with this unit?  What limitations did you run into?

Well i was just testing random things back in those days.
There was never really a goal to these experiments.
They were just to see fields and inductive/capacitive coupling and to see the interaction between the coils.
