I see Bruce_tpu has gone silent. I can only assume that his design did not work.
Oh well back to the drawing board.

Is this how they used to build TPUs in the olden times?

There may be other practical ways to induce a current in a conductor than by magnetic induction.   Any force that affects electrons should work if applied in a way that makes the electrons move along the conductor.

I don't think he even said the "INDUCTION" word, he just explained it in words to make sure nobody misses the point, something like this:    the use of a magnetic field to cause electron flow in wire ... which has been around for hundreds of years ...,   (I'm  just paraphrasing.)

Vario-metry as applied to electronics e.g. "variometer" is a type of variable inductance RF transformer, basically a large  solenoid coil with an internal rotatable coil that aids or opposes the fixed solenoid inductance. One should consider the effect of an oscillating field that is aiding and opposing (bucking) during alternating  portions of the cycle, then the merit of the device is apparent especially in light of what we have been discussing on the "Comments of the McFreey Paper" thread.

We think are getting very close to the operational hypothesis, which until now has been elusive.

The mechanical device embodied by Mandelstam-Papalexi is probably replaced by SM with a purely electronic method of parametric pumping.

I know of a theory that uses quaternions, as Maxwell suggested but never fully developed.  Per this theory there are three ways to induce a current:

ExB=qv  (charges moving frely through space, convection current)

ExB=qr/t (change in the scalar electric field per unit time)

ExB=ir (conventional magnetic induction)

The second one is very interesting.

I think the use of the term 'variometer' for radio or control of inductance came much later. Say, the first 10-15 years of the 20th century. Then the name became a reference only to the variable induction part of the variometer. The original variometer was much more.

For TPU buffs, the original variometer should be of high interest.
1. They were used to compare variations of the horizontal component of the Earth's magnetic field.
2. They would not work correctly upside-down.
3. Internal, weak magnets were used as a reference source for the torque applied to an indicator.
4. The indicator would stop rotating once the locally generated magnetic field swamped the ambient magnetic field.

In radio-terms it is just a variable inductor.

This would appear to be a  complicated path towards the advanced units on the videos

2 things
1 the words that are disolved into the hum were obviously hidden for good reason an on purpose  ..the hum is 60hz earth hum so some filtering might help.

2 Lesterhendershot aparently was working on a better kind of compass when he discovered the the effect.

3 es em was fimiliar with hendershot.

One more thing . There are powerful interests that do not want this technology widespread at this time . Get close and you will understand .

You guys seem to be discussing a 3 dimensional inductive coupling to the 3 dimensional earths magnetic field .
I remember making a torroid oscillator that was so sensitive to tiny magnets in its vicinity  that it would change its charactor just by its magnetic  oreintation.
Of course I have since forgoten exactly what I was doing at the time. But I was heading towards  an inner track and an outer track ,an upper track and a lower track , all balanced in resonance but minimiun capacitance loading .
Look at a dust devil/thermal forming and see how there needs to be a very slight imabalance with just the right conditions for the spin and the vertical vortex to establish. No way to use brute force rather fine , sensitive, delicate tuning .

Is everyone (TPU fans) familiar with the magnetic survey purposes of the variometer?

I have built the more simple versions which could easily react to lightning strikes tens of miles away. In one case I was able to view distant lightning strikes and instant deflection of the compass needle and not hear the thunder (probably due to my poor hearing).

How this all ties into free energy is beyond me but the devices are still interesting.

The simplest was a common compass placed above a bar magnet. You adjust magnet to align with the magnetic poles, rotate it 90 degrees and space the compass above it just close enough to allow the bar magnet to deflect the compass from pointing to the magnetic poles.Once that is done, rotate the magnet back to polar alignment and watch for needle deflection.

Any movement in the needle indicates a magnetic disturbance.

Use a small mass bar magnet for the compass needle and attach a small mirror to it. Point a fixed laser beam to the mirror reflecting the beam to a distant surface. The sensitivity is greatly increased but the construction will determine how badly the beam is affected by vibration.

Rather than use a reference magnet and adjust the gap to the compass replace the magnet with the variable inductor (what many consider to be a variometer) driven by a battery.

As for a graphic..... I doubt I still have that copy of Electrical Experimenter.

I have always wanted an AG business called TimeLife where cryogenic chambers would be secured on AG platforms and patients would be in stasis waiting for cures. The only corruption would be to hold off the cure because the account growth is huge. You can't spend it while your under. Your investment would sky rocket as the cure for you becomes public.

Change that to : The only corruption would be to hold off the cure because the profits are huge in the sales of prescription medication. You would lose money if people didn't need your chemical mixes or your products solved the actual problem instead of being applied only to symptoms.

The idea is pie-in-the-sky, or should that be platform-in-the-sky?

We know what would happen.... it would become an experiment to see how long stasis could be maintained -- until a unit became non-cost-effective - like when the realized cure cost was more than nothing?

Still, it would be a great test for all the TPUs needed to power all of these platforms  >:-)

I have another theory, nothing worth doing is ever easy and in fact it is the degree of difficulty which defines somethings worth.

I wouldn't say I'm overly optimistic or a believer in this regard however I like a challenge and the harder it is the more I like it. To be honest I have learned much more contemplating how it could work than I ever did from my research of the actual device. Imagine that, I could be wrong from SM's perspective but still right from mine... such is the human condition. I do not believe we should ever underestimate our imagination or our creativity or our capacity to exceed our own expectations. ;)

I know the feeling and think that how a person approaches a problem generally determines the outcome.

Now I understand some may see this as a problem concerning coils of wire, magnets, switches and timing however these are superficial things. Others concern themselves with energy and hope to extract it from some unknown source they admit they do not fully understand. Now if the relationship between the forces should change in any way then so must the energy state thus we are left with the notion that energy does not dictate forces, flows or fields the relationship between them does.

You see everything works fine so long as we keep repeating past mistakes, everything works fine so long as we do not question the fundamental nature of the interactions and how they relate to one another. Everything works fine until a singular point in time when the relationship changes in some way we had not considered.

I also felt that Bruce was off on a non workable tangent but never expressed it to him. A replication should resemble something at least like what we observe in the videos. A simple unit like the first tpu should be a good starting point for study.  I feel the answers are in the videos. We should study them carefully with a critical analytic mind.

How can anyone say it's not in the national interest to have a clean source of energy.

Anyone heard about the enormous amount of money being sunk into this fussion reactor in Europe, is that ever going to be viable, surely all it will do is make a lot of contractors very wealthy and anyone else on the end of all the back handers.

We know it's never about viable devices, look at the thorium reactor story, as soon as the prototype was working and they wanted to scale up to full size, the dam thing got shelved, it does make me angry all in the name of making money which ultimately the planet is paying the price and hence our chance of survival on this planet is going down the pan fast.

I can't get 92 volts like the FTPU, but 15 volts, not bad but not what he got. (still working the impedance transformation to get more power out)

  I'm realizing there might be an insurmountable barrier which implies: 1)  I'm lacking a vital clue, 2) The power source is different than what I'm going after.

I've never been able to figure out the SM concerning who owns he technology.  Does UEC own it, or does the US Government?  It's more of a technicality than anything else.  Regardless which one owns it, it will not be made public.

If the device causes space to move, per se, then there could be propulsion possibilities and like other have said, this is more of a concern than free energy.

LOOK REAL CLOSE at the Cores.  It sure looks to me like they were removed from some kind of Video Tape Recorder Cartridge.
It looks like SM REMOVED some of the Tape from the CENTER to make an inexpensive Magnetic Core.
What kind of Video Recorder did the tape come from?  My wild, wild GUESS is an EARLY VHS Prototype, a Seismograph Recorder, or an old TV Studio Video Recorder.
WHY, because the STRANGE frame base on the bottom is VERY, VERY SIMILAR, but doesn't exactly match, the inside of modern VHS tape cartridges.


Proof 1 = The white plastic disc UNDER each core looks IDENTICAL to the Toothed White Disc in a VHS Tape Cartridge.
Proof 2 = If he DIDN'T make the cores from a Tape, then WHY did he place a White Toothed Disc UNDER each Core?  It doesn't make sense!
Proof 3 = Teeth all around the outside edge of the white disc, just like in a VHS tape cartridge.
Proof 4 = He filled the center with epoxy to keep the loose tape from UNRAVELING or UNWINDING.
Proof 5 = The Exterior DIMENSIONAL SIZE of SM's Cores looks IDENTICAL to the size of VHS tapes (see bottom photo).
Proof 6 = If you Disassemble a VHS Tape Cartridge, there is an Identical WHITE DISC (with teeth) under the tape.
Proof 7 = His Model 1 Unit has an identical looking core in the center.  SAME notched white disc, same epoxied center, same frame base, etc.
Proof 8 = SHARP EDGES on the core just like a video recorder tape has.  Many, BUT NOT ALL, Ferrite & Iron Powder cores have ROUNDED edges (see photo below).
Proof 9 = SM was employed in a store that sold video & audio sound merchandise, & had easy access to recorders & tapes.

SUMMARY:  If you still doubt, then answer this question.  WHY would SM go to the TROUBLE of Disassembling VHS Tapes, just to place the WHITE DISCS UNDER
               Ferrite, MetGlass, or Iron Powder cores?  PLUS, why would he fill in the centers with EPOXY?  It wouldn't make any logical sense!

It looks like SM REMOVED some of the Tape from the center to make a Special Magnetic Core.

When you say industrial video tape cartridge, do you mean a Sony UMATIC large format machine tape as used in broadcasting? Or standard off the shelf high quality VHS?

These are nice observations and the kind of detective work needed to solve certain parts of the mystery. I'm not saying I totally agree, however, I am willing to discuss it further. I have disassembled VHS cassettes and tried to make inductive cores from the ferrous oxide tape. There was hardly any noticeable improvement in inductance over an air core coil of the same dimensions, which I thought odd. Maybe the black oxide tapes would yield more inductance.

I suspect the ferrous coating is very thin compared to the mylar backing (0.02mm or 1/1000 inch) and therefore adds very little inductance.

If SM wound his own cores from the tape material, they must have some special properties possibly at high frequencies or possible saturation properties.

You say "Video Tape Cartridge frame under each core"?. Could you expand on this or take a picture of a frame you have disassembled? Do you mean the black object with the upward bent tabs under the core?

The second picture is indeed interesting as I have never seen such a high res view of that core with what appears to be the rounded inner core material. Pictures can sometimes be deceiving, though.

One of the problems with electronics on submarines before solid state elec tronics was that they had limited room to carry vacuum tube spares. So a more reliable and long lived substitution was developed - magnetic amplifiers.

I followed Bruces thread for quite some time aftyer having gone back to the beginning of the thread and spending 4 months going through every post. It struck me that the coils shown and their wiring definitely resembled a magamp.

It always strikes me as odd when folks talk about metal cored devices as being related to the TPU.

I haven't seen evidence that any of them could have a metal core. Going by the estimated weights and the few credible pieces of information they have no metal in the core unless the core area has some kind of wire loop.

The above would be far flung from a Mag-Amp.

BTW: Mag-Amps are still used where safety and reliability is critical or their other attributes are required - high voltage isolation, less energy wasted as heat, huge amplification factors, etc.

If we ever upgrade the world's power grid I strongly suspect that almost all switching and control devices will be replaced with mag-amps.

They may still be ordered for smaller applications from Butler Winding, VAC and a few other transformer companies.

The last ones I used were installed to control voltage to a very low voltage 3-phase motor so it could be used to test 3-phase circuits 240 to 4160VAC.

The more I've gotten involved in the alternative energy fields the more I realise that absolutely nothing in the universe on either micro or macro scales is static. So I'm guessing that whatever it is we are missing is in the things we ignore, like neutrinos, and take for granted, like the constants, that make up the veil in front of us. And so far I've boiled it down to that one simple question - what causes radioactive decay? What's the change in the relationship between the radioactive material and the rest of existence that causes a material to transmute to another material?

I'm not sure this should be in this thread but whatever is hidden from us may be that thing that runs the TPU if, indeed, it is not a sham.

Can anyone tell me a little about the units "coulomb-meter" and "dipole moment"?

I'm thinking that the so-called radiant electric field is a time-dependent change in charge density, measured in coulomb-meters, which impart a dipole moment to particles.

I'm wondering why this would produce an adverse effect when applied to a polar substance such as water.  Would it cause the water to separate, opening the door for possible ignition and recombination, with adverse results (i.e. BOOM!)?

In Willie Johnson's unpublished (under review) Gyroscopic Force Theory, he list the equations for electrical induction, one of which is ExB=pr/t or t(ExB)=pr, and in conversation with him about this equation he stated that Tesla used this method in his system to transmit power, adding that he derived it long before he found out about Tesla's work.  He has had great difficulty trying to understand what this equation means in a physical sense. 

Willie is an analytical chemist.

pr is apparently a flow of energy with the units coulomb-meter, like a separation of charges, which imparts a force on electrons, which when crossed with a static magnetic field induces a current.  I cross-referenced coulomb-meter to several references that talked about the effects of charge field on polar molecules and their dipole moment (separation of charge).  The magnitude of the dipole moment is dependent on the charge of the molecule or particle, not the mass.

I asked Willie if pr has momentum and inertia, and he said it does.   I asked if we can push on it and it on us, and he said yes to both.

In his book (unpublished), he refers to this form of induction as the GFT displacement current.

I consider this the first step in applying math, and a possible new form of induction, to the TPU.

I recall that SM stated that the TPU was put into a tub of water to cool it down, and that this was a disaster, and later saying that it evacuated to tub very quickly.  Separated water is very volatile, the slightest spark and BOOM.  I used to work with special effects for theme parks and we used oxygen to create very loud popping effects in the Backdraft show/ride, as it detonates when ignited.  Imagine H and O together.

He is a simple description.  Electrons are a spinning top.  If you slightly touch them they will move quite easily, with very little force, if you move them in a cooperative direction.  Also, you can apply a very great force and make them move however you want, but they don't cooperate, hence the great force required.  We set up the cooperative direction with our static magnetic field, then provide the slight push to move them.  They take care of the rest. 

Try it.  Spin a top or better yet, buy a small gyro.  In a few minutes you'll see that this all makes a lot of sense and also see where the energy surplus is already there, for free.

Any new theory should be vetted with a simple provable experiment that shows results not predicted by conventional theories.

Electron flow without Faraday induction would be a good test if the experiment could be devised.

As long as we are still using mass ejection for space travel, we have not yet unified gravity and electromagnetism and not found a workaround to the problem. We are still in the stone age of space travel regardless of how sophisticated the on board computer.

Same for our energy needs.....no clean mass to energy conversions available....yet.

I lack the math skills to critique Willie Johnson, yet hope he is tilling new fields.

Looking at page 364, section 25.12 of the abridged version, you describe that the E field is regarded as the moving centrode and B as the fixed space centrode. Then you explain that even though qr may have zero velocity and though E may be fixed, qr is still effectively transferred from one location on the space centrode to the other, provided E and B are circular.

Is qr actually "moving" in a physical sense? You use the term "transfer" rather than "move", so I am not sure if qr moves or is some change in state.

If qr moves, then does qr possess momentum and inertia?

If qr can be moved, can we push against it?

These are all really great questions. I must confess, I too find it rather confusing trying to express the character of qr. What is it? What is it doing? How can static quantities flow? I struggled with this concept when trying to grasp the implications of the Poynting vector. I looked it up again for review and sure enough qr and the Poynting vector seem to be related via S=1/u0(ExB )where S is the Poynting vector. Also when studying quaternions we get a slightly different view of vectors. Our conventional notion is something with magnitude and direction. But quaternionically we get an additional insight. It sees a vector as "A vector is the representative of transference through a given distance in a given direction." This notion of transference or matriculation is crucial in this instance. Once we ascribe to qr a vector connotation it by definition moves or flows from point a to point b in a certain direction. How one describes the actual physical movement is where it gets tricky? obscure? unknowable? complicated? It also characterizes a scalar as a sphere and rotation or change of positioning upon the surface of that sphere creates a vector. Arc distance along a surface of a sphere is by definition a quaternion which in turn is a vector.
Lastly keep in mind that these are induction equations. Even if E and B are static and or scalar ( I'm pretty sure that E=F/q has to be a vector even though its considered as being an electrostatic field) they never the less quaternionically induce a flow. The quaternions say this must be the case. Remember, a vector is the representative of transference through a given distance in a given direction. How is this accomplished physically? That requires more research. The video describes the Poynting vector as being the energy per unit time per unit area. So qr is some form of flowing energy moving at the speed of light. Therefore qr definitely has momentum and inertia. Therefore we can push against it and it against us.

I remember Dirac's comments on the Poynting Vector and how energy flowed out of the source, and into the load, making no sense what so ever, and it doesn't tell you "how" it occurs.

Is there some sort of medium that is moving? Dirac and Tesla believed that empty space was actually filled with "something", Tesla believed in conductive carriers surrounded by a dielectric, and Dirac termed the "Dirac Sea" of virtual photons.

Here is the big question related to both: how do gyroscopic forces affect virtual entities? Since they spin just as physical entities do, they must follow the same rules.

How could we determine if qr is a physical movement or a transference of a condition? If you had a field of spinning tops and you made a circular pattern of them spin faster, it is not the same as if the circular pattern is actually rotating as a whole. The fact that qr can be moved so easily, is profound since it can in turn move something else and appear to cause a greater affect, but in actuality, we just used the spin which is provided freely.

Tesla and Maxwell and Faraday believed in the aether, Einstein space-time, modern contemporary scientists will laugh and ridicule the concept of an aether (bad science and crackpot theory) but they doggedly promote zero point energy and virtual particles. It's actually pretty amusing especially since Tesla quite clearly and definitively proved the existence of an aether or rather the existence of electrostatic impulses that permeate space. Bottom line; nobody believes in a completely empty space. Even Einstein gave this empty space physical characteristics.

People will construct Tesla coils and play with the streaming "lightening" emanating from the coil not really realizing that this is an electrostatic as opposed to an electromagnetic event. I'm speculating here but I see qr as being similar to that "lightening" being generated from a Tesla coil. Again, in generating streaming discharges from his coil, Tesla assiduously purposefully eliminated all alternating current. He purposefully generated only one way none oscillating electrical impulses and got rid of the electromagnetic characteristics of the current and only generated electrostatic impulses. Again we bump up against that seeming oxymoronic: electrostatic impulses. It is this aspect of his work that has gone almost completely unnoticed and unappreciated. Euler's equation of quaternions, as well as GA as well as contemporary electrodynamics theory clearly shows, indeed, imposes that there must be a scalar expression of electrodynamics every bit as valid as there is of the vector/electromagnetic nature. Scientist and engineers are rooted in the vector/electromagnetic side ignoring the scalar side.

The GFT does not support the existence of virtual particles as currently described in contemporary electrodynamics. The GFT promotes unwaveringly the sanctity and inviolability of the law of the conservation of energy. Contemporary virtual particle theory does not. However the GFT does support the seamless transitioning of a particle/quaternion from one of pure vector to one of pure scalar. It is this transitioning that accounts for the peculiar behavior of "virtual" particles. qr could certainly be classified as being a scalar particle or entity.

Here is an excerpt from my second book, Po Pi Phi Psi. The second book delves into vortex based mathematics and its connection to quaternion mathematics. It was through this connection that I was able to see exactly what virtual particles were and how and why they behave as they do.

"We may easily provide a more reasonable classical interpretation of virtual particles via the algebra of quaternions and the rules of magic square construction...This is the essence of virtual particle behavior. We may consider virtual particles as being scalar particles of -1. They are directed scalars. They have a sense of direction. A sense of matriculation. Indeed, a quantum of direction. Real particles are vector particles. Tangible particles. They stay on the grid. Virtual particles or more accurately scalar particles (admittedly a contradiction in terms) go off grid. Real particles are vector particles and are tangible but are represented by the imaginary complex numbers. Virtual particles are scalar entities that are non tangible and are represented by real complex numbers. In terms of the complex numbers vectors are imaginary where scalars are real."

This is quite profund and insightful. In fact what you have just described is precession. Again if you spin a top clockwise it simultaneously spins conterclockwise via precession. It still blows my mind trying to reconcile this self contained opposing spins and they not cancel each other out. (This is the basis of my countercurrents and conformers which in the beginning I couldn't come to grips with even though the math and physics kept saying that this had to be the case.)

It seems qr both moves and can be moved. I can't recommend enough that you research Tesla's electrostatic impulses to try and get a more in depth understanding of the static,scalar, impulse (which connotes movement) behaviour of charge. I've just scratched the surface on this subject. There is so much more that requires a tremendous amount of research.

When qr is time dependent, as listed in your previous post, there is a fluctuation, or change, in the charge density.

There is an attractive or repulsive interaction with neighboring molecules. I'm not sure that both apply in this case, as this is way over my head.

It appears, to me at least, that this attraction or repulsion caused by the changing qr yanks the electrons in a conductor, which are also affected by the static magnetic field per 25.12 in the book. This causes the electrons to precess, producing a current.

Is Tesla the only person that discovered and utilized this form of induction? I'm not sure how to search for it in literature, maybe something like induction by change in charge density.

I was watching an SM video with the TPU output connected to the inverter and powering a TV,  and the voltage dropped from 186 V to 171 V, after he made the connection.

I think its safe to assume there is no voltage regulation implemented, and the drop is due to lowering of the Q when a load is connected.

What do you guys think?

Not by a long shot. I continue to theorize, collect clues and build, just nothing to report at this time.

In one of the reports, regulation is very good after several hours of operation. Not so for other units. Peterae may have it right.

A drop under current drain could be from initial ohmic losses in the copper wire, which would also increase with temperature increase, a potential "soft" temperature runaway condition.

Not enough gain or lack of an integral term in the control loop would cause voltage sag.

If the control scheme is similar to the configuration used to control the output of compound wound generators, where series current through a particular output winding increases the magnetic field, thus regulating output, then not getting the required number of turns on this control winding for a particular expected load could cause sag.

If there was some equivalent to back-torque, I would expect more of a drop.  Maybe there is but it is somehow lessened compared to a homopolar generator.

That old guy, Newton007, that I thought was SM claimed repeatedly that the toroidal things seen in most tpu's are some old type of regulator.

That drop of 15 volts is only 8%.

Why is the current limited?  Only so much is being driven, self-limited by the driving parameters.  Reconsider my gyroscope analogy.  We can't change the rate of spin, but we can change the orientation, and apply external forces to move it.  We can also change the number of gyroscopes that we affect.  (A flywheel is probably a better analogy.)

The ugly truth is we have no proof of long run time, units warm up and the power degredation when loaded. Did SM run ac devices off of the smaller tpus? All i ever saw was light bulbs and voltmeters. A stun gun does this quite easily. I repeat this clause because of the time we have spent and the diverse, exceptional experience here.

Gk you make a good point.  A lot of his demonstrations, if not all, can easily be duplicated with today's advanced battery technology, at least for a short run time.  However, in the 90's a different story.

But I dont have these doubts, and in fact it's worth mentioning again what he said in his first video (FTPU),  about tuning into the earth's magnetic field, which has an "inherent frequency".  :o

Obviously he's not talking about the static field of the earth, but about a frequency component superimposed on it, regardless of the source.

So his TPU's are tuned receiver of energy, energy RADIOS if you will.

He described everything in detail,  and just because we cant duplicate doesnt meant he lied to us, just means we are testing our radios without the external signal present.

So, it is a fallacy to assume the external magnetic frequency is present globally at equal intensity to allow duplication of his demonstrations.  In my opinion, the opposite is true, the signal is quite localized, and testing meters away from a million watt high voltage power line and saying there is an external magnetic frequency is quit accurate.

So i advice anybody to work towards building wireless power receivers, after all thats why Steven Mark hired Jack Durbin.

In the newer video, where Brian Collins talks extensively to the two visiting gentlemen, one from Zurich and the other a Japanese,  he mentioned that the two toroids in the center of the TPU are used for tuning.


Well, I've been meaning to calculate the approximate inductance of the toroid coils and finally did it.

Here's my assumptions

N = 30 turns  (one side of the toroid coils, 60 total)
Ro = 3.5 cm  (outer radius)
Ri = 1.5 cm (inner radius)
h = 2 cm (height)
u = 10 000  (the tape wound cores have high permeability, could even be 10 x larger)

L = N^2 u A/ le,    (where le is the average flux path length)

I calculate an approximate value of   L = 0.029 H

Now let's calculate the inductance for a tank circuit needed to tune at 1 kHz

C = 1/(w^2 L)  ,   where w=2 pi f

I calculate an approximate value of   C = 0.88  uF

(for f=180 Hz, the 3rd harmonic of the 60 Hz,  C = 27 uF)


So we see that these are not unreasonable values to tune into the low kHz, even into the Hz range of magnetic frequencies.

I agree about their likely use in tuning.

My opinion won't change on them being simple inductive devices, CMC or common toroidal core. IMO, they clearly are not.

BTW...

The visible connections of the low ESR electrolytic caps and associated devices indicates those caps are simple DC storage/filtering on the output of a simple rectifier. They are not part of an L/C tank.

SM was either operating at f/2, f/4 or f/6

if the ring was iron then we would use 5130 m/s velocity of sound

fr = VL/(pi*d )

if the TPU is 17 Inches diameter then that's 430mm

fr = 5130/(pi * .430) = 3.79751KHz

he would probably be using f/6  giving an operating frequency of 632 Hz

Probably a bit higher than that because the ring would be less than 17 inches.

I guess he may have also used a multi turn ring if so the freq would be a lot less for instance a 3 turn ring would be

fr=VL/(n*pi*d)

fr = 5130/(3*pi*.430) = 1.265KHz

f/6 = 210.9728Hz

offcourse he could have used f/2 or f/4 as well giving higher frequencies and the smaller the TPU the high the operating freq.

We know that the TPU works using beta decay right, there is no doubt about this.

McFreey told us how to build the magnetic tuner also.

If a sound analysis was done on the video then you would be able to work which fuel he used and what mode of acoustic resonance was used, theres no magic here there's enough energy in 1kg of iron or copper to make a town vanish, there's enough energy in 1g of copper or iron to make a row of houses vanish.

There was a sound analysis done. I have a copy somewhere and so should many of the long-timer TPU fans.

Portions of the frequencies coincided with electron drift and acoustic velocity around the diameters and varied with each TPU type. If I remember correctly, the two strongest frequencies for all types was around 4800 Hz and 15.(??)kHz. From those, my determination was that the 'cores' were not iron but copper or some copper containing alloy with no more than a couple of turns per core.

You can increase the acoustic and decrease the EM resonance of a simple conductive loop by wrapping the loop with segments of coils and driving those coils with control frequencies.

I don't think iron was part of any TPU but do believe amplification and redirection of radial beta emissions was key.

I've been using copper and experimentally i am getting a speed of around 3500 m/s for 2.5mm^2 mains copper wire for my ring.
We need to remember that hardness makes a difference as well.

He will deliberately be working outside human ear pitches, in the low KHz it has been driving me nuts and probably deaf as well, so low Hz is my likely guess, although the small rings will be working probably 14-20 KHz at least then it would only drive the youngsters nuts.

With copper i need a very sensitive microphone with added preamp to hear and characterize the ring, with iron i could place my microphone on the other side of the room it was so loud.

He is using standard core size. I have always contended that a small mass is all that is needed. The small mass denotes a weak field which is easy to flex. This coincides with the Kunel patent. Not only did he use a weak force but then used the field in an air gap.

First off I am by no means familiar with the TPU but a quick read says it is an offshoot of the Emery coil
is a newer version of Leedskalnin's  perpetual motion holder.  I've always contended that both are
just LCR circuits, the coils are the inductor and the gap across the horseshoe magnet the spark gap.
When the  bar is removed this causes a change in the magnetic flux which induces a current which
lights the light bulb.

Thanks again for referencing my induction equations.  For those not familiar with quaternion algebra
ExB=qr/t may look completely algebraically incorrect.  Let me explain

Divide both sides by B and you get E/B=qr/t
But in quaternion algebra 1/N=-N. 
That is, the reciprocal of a number can be designated as the negative of that number.

Thanks for clarifying that equation.  I am years away from understanding quaternions and any other high level mathematics.  However, I have an eye for things that appear to be related.

The infamous "TPU":

1. Is an electrical generator with no moving parts, that produces usable amounts of electric power (i.e over 700 volts and 20 amps in the large demonstration units.
2. Output is DC with some "hash".
3. When in operation they produce an inertial effect where they resist (slight) movement when held, and exhibit a washboard effect when slid on a table.
4. all version are ring-shaped (i.e. round), most look like a tall torus.
5. the device require no input, and are claimed to run continuously once initially started.
6. the devices have no ferrous core like a transformer does, and operate due to the orientations and interactions of the coils in the devices, and possibly with gravity or the earth's magnetic field, or no external fields.
7. the windings are purportedly:
    three loops layed flat, several segmented sections around each loop, a single winding around all segments and loops     
    (toroidal winding)
8. output of early units would slowly go to zero when flipped over, later units with toroidal windings do not change if flipped over.
9.  Output voltage goes down when the devices are powering a load.
10.  The inventor DID confirm that the devices have a rotating field, but not what type of field it is.
11.  the inventor also acknowledged that the "secret" was related to Tesla's radiant electricity experiments in which hv pulses are quenched abruptly.

After several years, I've come to the conclusion that the devices exhibit GFT induction, rotating a time-dependent electric field (qr/t) perpendicular to a magnetic field, inside or around a collector wire(s) in which current is induced.  I suspect that the voltage drop is due to the back-torque associated with homopolar generators.

GFT induction is one of several current induction equations that is proposed in my book The Gyroscopic Force Theory. Starting with the Lorentz force you can manipulate E,B and qv algebraically using good old fashion high school math and according to my theory and faith in mathematics the physics must MUST obey the algebraic equations.  Also E,B, and qv  can also be considered as quaternions and they also follow the rules of quaternions.  One of the basic principles of quaternion algebra is that 1/N=-N.  That's why we can write Ex-B=qv as well as E/B=qv.  The physics obeys both. I just responded to the post about rediscovering the TPU and I was pleasantly surprised to see a YouTube video demonstrating the principles of Ex-B=qv.

The Gyroscopic Force Theory  (bw version) can be purchased online at Lulu for about 30 bucks.  I have purposely set it at the at cost price so that it can get into the hands of several people so that they might critique it.  I don't make a cent from it.  Unfortunately in order to meet the  size requirements for printing  bw books I was forced to severely edit  a few chapters. Most of the theoretical examination of the HPG was edited out and can only be found in the color version.

attached is a quick sketch of the wiring of the later version of TPU devices per the inventor Steven Mark.   The interpretation of how the coils are powered is from a user named "spherics" that made several posts on another forum and then left and had never been heard from since.  He claimed to know how the TPU's worked and to have been involved in their further development.  He also released details of other ways to achieve the same goal.

Here are some thoughts about the bunching of charges and the possibility that this can drag electrons along.  It reminds me of magnetic "bunches" (think of this as a series of magnets all in line but with some separation between them).

Now magnets are known to attract iron filings and this effect is usually taught as poles induced into the filings and unlike poles attract.  That is not quite a correct interpretation, you get a polarization induced into the filings so each one becomes a tiny magnet, a magnetic dipole, and the only thing that creates force on a dipole is a non-uniform field.  It is the highly non-uniform field near the poles of the magnet that does the attraction.  If the induced dipole in the iron grain has a moment u lying along the x direction due to the magnetic field B also along the x direction, the force can be expressed by Fx=u*dB/dx, i.e. the force is the product of the field gradient and the dipole moment.  If the dipole is not an induced one but is a permanent one (i.e. the grain as a tiny PM) then it can have a moment not aligned with the field, whence the force is Fx=u*costheta*dB/dx where theta is the angle between the dipole and the field.  This is the basic force law for magnetic attraction or repulsion.  Static fields can supply force via their field gradient.

Now electrons have spin and as such are tiny magnets, they have a dipole moment related to the Bohr magneton.  So electrons can be pulled along by a magnetic field gradient if their spin has the correct alignment (the theta angle above).  In iron wire (or any conducting ferromagnetic wire) the conduction electron spins can be aligned along the wire by magnetizing the wire along its length.  If we have a sequence of spaced magnetizing coils wound around our long iron wire we can create not only spin alignment but also a sequence of magnetized regions, like the bunches mentioned at the start of this post.  Conduction electrons will be attracted toward the centre of each magnetized region, genuinely creating charge bunches.  By driving the coils with pulses having some sequential timings we can cause the bunches to travel along the wire (that's like linear motor technology), and that will constitute a DC current.  I think this could be a good candidate for the TPU if the single loop of wire shown in the image Grumpy has just posted is indeed iron wire or something similar.  I'll try to elaborate on this idea with a sketch.

About the collector:
It is three separate coils of multi strand copper wire laid one on top of the other, not interleaved. Three is important. You can do many things with three coils. You can run them in parallel, you can run two in series and one in parallel, or etc.
You can run a separate frequency into each coil for better control on large power units if need be.
The control wiring is vertically wound in several segments around each of the horizontal collector coils. Other control wires are wound around all of the horizontal collector coils together.
Through the different control wire and coil wire arrangements you can keep complete control of the unit most of the time. However, you must have an emergency KILL switch. A way of cutting off all the control frequencies simultaneity. This kill switch must be, manual and also connected through a heat sensor buried within the collector coil. it should automatically stop the function of the unit before it self destructs on it's own. This is important for obvious reasons. Also the kill switch should also be connected to cut off whenever it measures over voltage. If that should ever happen, you would never have enough time to hit the kill switch before the inevitable explosion occurred.
You know, it is very similar to the idea of a long garden hose. Picture a hose with water in it. If you pick up one end and move along the length of the hose you will move the water constantly along in the direction you are moving. You could also squeeze the hose in the direction to move the water along as well. And you could do both to control the movement of the water more precisely. You can think of the movement of water as the movement of electrons through the collector coils.
I hope the things I share with you give you ideas about how my unit works. As you know, I am a great believer in understanding, not copying.

This has also been  my understanding for some time now, and verified when I saw the video of SM pre-orienting the dipoles in the ferrous wire with the magnet swiping.

He did the magnet swiping of the ferrous wire very quickly with no explanation, and never drew attention to this. It gives away part of the secret,(which he was afraid of) so he later put bias windings over the horizontal loops so he would not call attention to the magnet swiping.

Very few have tried an electrostatic field sequentially applied to each each segment. The electrostatic field may produce the necessary constriction (squeezing of the hose) that induces movement, whereas induction in a coil segments creates also a BEMF when the field collapses that negates positive forward motion.

Sequential pulsing of coils works in e.g.motors because of the mass, hence inertia of the rotor. Maybe electrons are quickly drawn back due to the collapsing field, they having much lower inertia,  the dipole preferred orientation is reversed.

Electrostatic squeezing could be the key.

I could be completely wrong on this and very open to correction.

OK here is a quick sketch showing electron bunching in an iron wire.  The potential difference induced by the electrons being dragged along via the magnetic gradient has a value close to 80 microvolts per Tesla of field change, so it is not very great.  But it will certainly bunch up the electrons and AFAIK no one (except perhaps SM) has used this to any effect.

The problem with electrostatic fields is they will not penetrate a conductor, so you can't get bunching within a conductor that way.  You can get bunching of surface charge but the linear charge density (Coulombs/m) is many orders of magnitude down compared with that of the volume charge.  The magnetic gradient bunching has the equivalent effect of an electrostatic field inside the material and I have given the effective voltage that does the internal pulling.  Although small it is acting within a highly conductive region so can IMO pull a significant charge bunch.  I'll do some more calculations to get a handle on the magnitude of the charge bunch (linear charge density).

I have written a number of papers attempting to use that gradient-pulling effect to get useful electricity, but the low voltage has always been the killer.  Now I can see a way of moving those bunches at a much greater velocity than the usual drift velocity of electrons.  It is dead easy to get the bunched magnetic field to move along at any velocity we like, so the charge bunch must move with it.  That movement has nothing to do with mass.  The collapsing longitudinal field (along the wire) as the bunch moves induces radially, not along the wire.  The collapsing radial component of field induces torsionally, again not along the wire.  I think this could really lead somewhere.

Here is an excerpt from a lengthy conversation I had with GFT about this method of induction:

Me too.  I really like this line of reasoning because it seems to map nicely with what we think the architecture of the TPU looks like.

The final control coils could be an encompassing magnetic field. This would also fit many fine wires, flux.
The dc bias would also supply this. Lends itself to bunching like a transmission line. Going with that look at the spiral wound vertical on the horizontal/dc bias. IT WOULD SQUEEZE LIKE A CANNON.  O0
But in a spiral motion. When the control is released the dc bias will force back to equilibrium.

It is well known that a changing electric field produces a magnetic field, just as a changing magnetic field produces an electric field.  Nussbaum's "Electromagnetic Theory for Engineers and Scientists" covers this quite well.  You can replace the electric field with Maxwell's displacement current and there is a magnetic field associated with that current.  If you place a ring core around a parallel plate capacitor, that core will be magnetized by the displacement current.  Even if that capacitor is a long dielectric rod with electrodes on the ends (to remove the conduction currents away from the ring core) the core still gets magnetized by the changing E field.  But it has to be a rapid change to get any useful results.  And if the change is rapid enough the resultant magnetic field can flip electrons.  No need to invoke precession here.

I think Wesley actually speculated the spark was used as a limiter to prevent a run-away condition.  If the stars are actually aligning here, I'll speculate Steven Mark never thought of using a spark gap as a limiter.

This is interesting, have you done any tests to prove this hypothesis? Also what is the "another component" and why play the guessing game, why not just name it. If it were a component that generates the heat as you say I would think the heat would be localized to that component rather than spread over the windings. Looking forward to your unveiling "the component".

Tariels device is an interesting thing,in the beginning I
believed it was a fraud,the Turkey video changed my opinion.
The device was ac based not dc based,I suspected that it might be related
to the tpu.However Tariel kept a  part hidden in all of hes devices
so you were dealing with a black box.One of the people involved
with the aquarium 2 team,told me he talks to Tariel,Tariel told him
one component he makes or modifies.Because in every video he hides the component

20 something amps from a ground connection.It would indicate a hidden grid wire
this would be the most logical choice.When I simulated (hardware model)the parts of the circuit
related to Tesla ,I got a reading indicating a large current 23 amps like the video from ground,when I
turned on the power the current would disappear like it was real,turns out it was a phantom
current,created by the conditions of a Tesla interface(hv,coils,ground spark gap).The cheap clampmeter,has a defect
that under these conditions it shows a large current reading when theres none.
The cheap clampmeter I have is made by the same company as the meter Tariel used,my conclusion is
Tariel used this effect in hes demo to create the illusion that its a Tesla invention,there is no ground current
no hidden grid wire.As to have I tested this hypothesis no,at this time its a speculated theory,however its based on other
information that has been experimented with,you have to have a starting point,this is not like
a college class,your dealing with, it maybe or maybe not be is the rule,different tactics have to be employed.

a  collector,the first part of the coil is used as the path for the waves as the current
builds,it goes to ground this produces a collapsing field magnetic field ,the second part of the coil
is used for transfer of energy,this is rectified and then filtered,the rectifier is needed as a gate.The primary heats up mainly
this part is not speculative,I have done this,with hardware,I also experimented with a pancake coils in this manner.
You know your self that the collector of the large tpu is most likely an air core
air cores require a very high frequency,the tpu shows nothing of the sort,it is contrary to
logic.I have over the years, broken the tpu into component parts,I work on different aspects of it,also on fakery parts ,that is
how SM creates misinformation effects in hes videos.The ultimate goal is to present all the information in one place and open source it
.Provide the information to people researching the tpu
set the direction,get other people involved,by going thru different possibilities I believe its a matter of a very short time before we see a real device.
I also plan on open sourcing the information on the Tariel device,so one or the other will succeed.
The problem in the past is there is very little good information,so one person does this another does that
you never build on anything,you continually start at the beginning,so no progress.
Both the tpu and the Tariel device are low tech devices both devices work because there exists an unknown energy source this source is not ZPE or anything like this,it has a few different rules not complex but strange.In the aquarium 2 video the active component is that funny green transformer
its generating 2kw,the transformer generates the waves,it is also used to feed a second circuit this is used to generate current to feed back to the other components to keep the device working,closed loop.
In both cases of SM and Tariel it was an accidental discovery,in SM's case I have a
good idea of it in Tariels case I don't,both are influenced by Tesla,and a mystical view of reality .

TK may be using the same HV pulsed magnetic effect that Energia Celeste used.  He could easily dump extra energy trough a gap to ground, and/or use this circuit to power another coil for the magnetic field.  Output will be pulsed.  

One clue is that he started the green-box device with the car battery, another is when the young gentleman was shocked by something on the green box (metal switch?).

Each of you could set it up in a weekend as a proof of concept.

The TK device is operated by 220 vac,an inverter is powered by the
12 volt battery,the input to the device plugs into the inverter.
The person that looked like he got shocked didn't,he put hes fingers into a fan
used for cooling some transistors on top of the green case near 2 black heat sinks.
This device outputs 220 vac
the tpu outputs dc,he ran a step down transformer with a bridge rectifier
from the ac output,this is used to loop the device.
In theory if this were a fake(battery powered) it could still be looped,the
missing information is the wattage of the
lights used,a 1,000 watts seems too high for an ordinary light,I don't know
what they make in that part of the world(Georgia).A hidden grid wire is out
because its a situation of a black box no useful information can be obtained by this particular
device,it could be real or battery powered.

Regarding the TK green box device, I thought that the device in the can with holes in the lid was a homemade converter (AC or DC pulses to DC), and the blue box was an inverter (DC-AC).  So the output could be DC pulses.

Regardless, HV pulses, a large coil, and a magnet will dispel all of this.

Whats in the can is a step-down transformer with a bridge rectifier,220vac to 12 vdc,yes the 12 volts is pulsing dc.To operate the transformer it takes ac,so the output of this device is ac at a line frequency.
The purpose of having a visible looping is to convince people it is real,in an earlier video the looping was not visible and you could not tell if the output was dc or ac.

and the induction equation is ExB=qr/t (same as) tExB=qr

What is the physical explanation of these two different induction equations?
