Title: 10KW - Quantum Energy Generator - open source
Post by: Mark Snoswell on 2014.03.27, 07:57:33
What do people think of this? .. they are calling it the Quantum Energy Generator QEG

http://hopegirl2012.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/qeg-user-manual-3-25-14.pdf .

Its an open source design now ... But what is really is the Timothy Thraps 10KW generator seen here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgEsSOphlp8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ztt3R4Bu_0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFu-s6ZmGyE

I have drawn up a simplified schematic (attached) as theirs is confusing.

Tons of disinformation on this page:

http://hopegirl2012.wordpress.com/2014/02/11/qeg-we-are-serious-and-we-are-making-it-happen/

Tesla did not support that JP Morgan had done anything to suppress his work.  In Tesla's own words, JP Morgan fullfilled his obligations to the letter.

They tout the homopolar generators as generating their own energy.

No test data exists, that I have been able to find, so, here we go again...

HopeGirl et. all. have good intentions but are the opposite of scientific and have made all sorts of claims and associations to Tesla and anything else they can think of. Noe of this is helpful or relevant.

The Tesla link is simple from the fact that the physical arrangement of coils and cores matches an AC generator/motor -- totally irrelevant when you look at the way the QEG is wired and claimed to operate.... heck, with the 4 coils on a toroidal core you could also claim its a TPU (which its not).

That's why I redid the schematic -- to focus attention on the core configuration free from all the distracting nonsense.
...
Ignoring all the irrelevant crap this configuration is still intriguing.

I don't see how it's doing anything different, other than turning real power into reactive power. Maybe it is doing something special, but I do not see it as of yet. Could someone explain better?

Attached is their open-source "build" document.

Is there a discussion among replicators? on another forum perhaps?
Thanks.

Can you explain that diagram of Tesla's, Grum?  thx.

This from gofundme.  From what I understand, the QEG folks do NOT YET have a working prototype! -- is this correct?  no working prototype?

Hello FTW QEG Friends and Supporters! We are very excited to bring you this update. Because of your awesome support we have been able to accomplish many amazing things for humanity!

Here it comes!!!.....The Open Source plans for the QEG will be available at this link by March 25th.
http://fixtheworldproject.net/quantum-energy-generator.html

We have close to 200 inquiries in over 20 countries from people who intend to create their own cottage industry community unit (CICU) for QEG manufacturing and distribution! We are in the process of gathering contact info and connecting people to make this a reality.

But our most exciting news is this...Using the funds raised in our campaign, FTW was able to donate a QEG to the village of Aouchtam in Morocco. The QEG will run a well and supply over 300 people with running water! In addition, the village will be creating their own QEG CICU to manufacture and distribute QEG's to all of North Africa! For more info on this, please see this link: http://www.gofundme.com/7hyss4

And this.....We are leaving soon to bring the QEG to the world! We will be training 25 students in a factory in Taiwan to build QEG's. And....Hope Girl will be presenting the QEG at Cobra's conference in Taiwan http://portal2012.org/Taiwan.html and at the Alchemy Event conference in London. http://fixtheworldproject.net/alchemy-event-conference.html

Upon our return in May we will be working out pre-orders for QEG's and assisting the start up of CICU's, bringing a QEG CICU to a village near you!

So....Things are about to really take off and we couldn't have done it without your love and support. We are so appreciative and honored to co-create this amazing breakthrough with all of you! Thank you so very much.

Hope and family :)

And,
QuoteFour months ago, FTW boldly went where many have tried to go before. We embarked on a mission to create a free energy device that will be distributed directly to the people. We call this device the Quantum Energy Generator, or QEG. I am now here, living on the property where the QEG is being assembled, observing its progress. It is almost complete, and we will soon be flipping the switch that can change the world.

The QEG is a crisp, clean, and modern device based on Tesla's public domain design and built with incredible engineering precision (for example it has over 300 precision cut steel plates each at 18 ½ 1,000ths of an inch thick). The QEG is portable, the size of an average home generator, can easily hook up to your existing electrical system, and weighs approximately 120 pounds. The QEG can power your entire home, several of them can power anything from a skyscraper to a cruise ship, and you will never have to pay an electric bill ever again.

Let's take this a step further and think about the millions of people in our world that live without a source of power. No refrigeration to store food. No power to purify their drinking water. No power to give them access to the internet or communications with the rest of the world. No power to create and store medicines that could save their lives. How could the QEG change their lives?

So far we have created contracted agreements for local grassroots distribution to individuals and communities in the following countries: China, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, United Kingdom, Oman, Lebanon, United States and other countries now coming on board. We have developed critical relationships with members of the Breakthrough Energy Movement conference, who have said "don't worry, if for some reason it doesn't work, we will come over there and help you make it work." Our plans are to travel to these local communities, teach them how to build these devices for themselves in small local workshops with teams of their own engineers, and open source the plans and complete instruction manual. Of course it should only be a skilled professional engineer that should build these devices. After all, this does sort of fit into the category of "rocket science."

WE HAVE AN URGENT NEED FOR YOUR HELP AT THIS TIME TO COMPLETE THE NEXT STAGE OF THIS PROCESS SO THAT WE CAN BEGIN TO TAKE PRE-ORDERS.

At this stage we are trying to raise $20,000 to finish this monumental project and bridge the GAP to its grassroots cottage industry distribution. To do this we want to build 2 more QEG's to present to some of the poorest communities who can receive the highest benefits a device like this can offer. Below is a breakdown of our needs:

$14,000 = all inclusive cost of building 2 QEG's at $7,000 each.
$6,000 = for additional equipment needed: oscilloscope, drill press, arbor press, current clamp.
(the inventor used to work in a fully equipped lab for 26 years and has since left the lab to work on the QEG. This equipment is needed to replace what he no longer has access to)

We cannot do this alone, this is a breakthrough brought to the people, by the love and donations of the people.

PRE-ORDERS WILL BE LIMITED. SO THOSE WHO DONATE TO THE CAMPAIGN AT THIS TIME WILL BE THE FIRST IN LINE.

If you have any inquiries regarding the QEG please contact us at fixtheworldproject@hotmail.com

Dear PhysicsProf.

The picture I posted was a screenshot captured from Tesla's full patent.       http://www.teslauniverse.com/nikola-tesla-patents-555,190-alternating-motor

T-1000 suggested that this motor design (Hidden in plain sight !!) May well be the key to an OU device. I feel that he could better explain the MO, than I !!

I am pretty sure that Farmhand has also built a transformer to this same principle ?? He is just missing the rotor !!  ;)

Steven, that brings to mind hitting a piece of steel with a hammer and making it into a magnet, though here it is laminated steel and so does not maintain its magnetism, as in a transformer. So if we can make the laminars ring, albeit for a split second, it will induce a current into a coil. A piece of ferrite with coil wound on it will also show the same effect if you hit the ferrite, though here you need to make it ring at a higher frequency with something like a piezo. Similar is your simple quartz lighter which generates a huge spike and so spark which lights your gas, perhaps we should get a large piece of quartz and rap two coils around it, one to act like a resonant hammer and the other to extract the energy :D

Joking apart, this I am sure is what is seen in many unusual effects "NMR", the point is to get to the avalanche effect of this O0

I'm going to stick my neck out and say that the QEG looks like the real thing, and that the "witts" machine would also be the real thing, (one of the same), that would put some egg on some faces

What I like about the last video that I posted here is that change in noise, if you think about it, it is what you would expect, a forceful resonant drone type noise, the only thing is we do not know what that does as far as load on that DC drive motor, or does it not see any extra load? maybe it is a reactive load!!

If this does work, it would not be very expensive to build on a production line, and if the cat is out of the bag, how would it be stopped. If I had the money I would build one, it will be interesting how this is going to pan out ??? it's not that complicated unlike a lot of electronic items that seem to be operating in the same area if you think about it.

I did some tests using a regular three phase induction motor as a generator and it too would drone when the right combination of capacitance and shaft speed was applied.  However in this case, any electrical load applied to the generator would be pushed back mechanically to the prime mover.  So I have to wonder about Sterling Allan's QoMoGen concept--is it possible to convert an existing motor into a QEG?  There are some fairly large differences in mechanical design and the QEG uses pretty high voltage.  I can't help but think there is a fundamental concept at play; one that can be engineered if we fully understood it.  Making QEGs from existing motors would accelerate the adoption of this concept ten fold if we knew the trick.

Intriguing observations, Matt and Mike.

Today, I've done an experiment related I think to the QEG acoustical resonance:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mda5OG3d0Is

QuotePublished on Apr 10, 2014
Yesterday, woopyjump showed (on youtube) that simply tapping an iron core would generate a voltage in a winding around that core (MOT secondary). Rather surprising result. So I'm trying a variation of his experiment.
Using the secondary of a Tesla coil system that I've had for years, I place an iron core down the center = a heavy window weight that I had. Weighs about ten pounds.
Sure enough, when I tap the weight, or just rub it with pliers, a ringing sound (acoustic resonance) is set up in the iron -- and there is a voltage produced across the coil, as seen on the oscilloscope. I'm seeing 15-20 V peak-to-peak quite often.
This observation, which I don't fully understand, appears consistent with an important claim of the QEG team, as we seek a new path to generating significant electrical power.

Mike, notice that I get a voltage-signal simply while rubbing the iron core, setting up a ringing sound in the iron.
Why is that?

Dear PhysicsProf.

Interesting video. I too discovered a similar phenomenon with Ferrite cores.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql2zfs5vevM        Skip to the last 3 mins or so !!   :)

I wonder what you would see if you suspended that window "sash weight" from a string and it was able to truly ring ??

Another observation regarding this SEG is the Torroidal nature of the core. Reminiscent of a TPU ??   ;)

Cheers Grum.

Very interesting demonstration Steven and Grum.

Suppose for a moment we have a split toroid or two U-shape cores, with each half wrapped with a coil for collecting output power.  Then we stand these two halves up, aligned as though they were a complete core.  Now lets induce a resonant force from a piezo transducer to the top core only, very near one gap but only against the top core.  The idea here is to create a sliding motion between the two core faces where the gap is.  Now I'm rather certain if we have surface-to-surface contact, mechanically this will wear out rapidly, but we could try various materials within the gaps to see if the sliding vibration can be sustained while achieving optimal power output from the two coils.

Something about the resonant force vector being perpendicular to the core flux, rings a bell, so to speak.  The Ed Leedskalnin Perpetual Motion Holder experiment got me thinking the atomic or molecular energy is already present at steady state; all we need to do is create the vibration without breaking the gap to induce current flow.  I would bet if you modified the PMH experiment by placing ball bearings in the gaps on both sides, charged the coils with a single impulse and vibrated the keeper side-to-side, you would get electrical energy back out of the coils.  Properly designed, the input energy needed to sustain the vibration would be far less than the output power from the coils.   This is all just a hunch, but an experiment worth trying.

Why is that?

Those sash cord weights are cast iron, very crystallised, just a small movement is going to cause vibration of those iron crystals. If you break any old cast iron you will see what I mean about crystal structure, it will amplify like a bell. Now is that telling us something? how for example the TPU really works! SM said it was so simple (and it vibrated), what was being vibrated inside the coil? think crystal structure ??? certainly not a soft metal like copper, but what is used in a speaker movement generating 3D sound waves. Just thinking aloud on that last part ;)

Nice demo also Grum, and interesting about the air gap, seems very important with the ferrite you were using. Nickel might be an interesting metal to try C.C

I note that you previously observed this effect in ferrite, Grum -- nice going.

Again, interesting observations, Mike.  Odd if this relates somehow to the TPU.

I wonder if the sound makes the domain boundaries shift in such a way that transient, rapidly changing B fields are produced...

Dear Mike.

I ran a small foundry business for nearly 25 years and was involved with larger Foundries also. Those sash weights were made in the thousands and quickly too. In order to get a fast metal flow into the mould they would heavily "Lace" the molten Iron with a substance called Ferro Silicon. This material had the effect of making the Iron more fluid however the down side was that the finished product was VERY brittle and virtually un machineable !!

I wonder if this effect, as you say is related to the crystalline structure that was created by the addition of the Silicon ?? Rather than just the Iron ??

Just a thought.

Cheers Grum.

Hi everyone,

I've been testing the effects of the QEG.
It coincides (like woopy) I have also thought of using a MOT for its high Inductance coil to see if I can produce some of the effects claimed.
I can confirm that there is a real effects. This looks to have real potential.

I made a video demo of my setup so you can see that I'm not just talking. However, I did not feel comfortable to demonstrate the Resonance as my particular test setup may not be able to handle such vibrations. When it first happened it scared me and I quickly pulled the plug as my 100 pound safety box was vibrating like a jackhammer.

Of course I'll be doing more tests but I thought to share my test rig and basic findings.

When I mentioned the TPU I was thinking allowed, it was the vibration felt in all the TPU's and the fact we really do not know what was metal-wise inside the TPU, apart from copper wire. The thing is copper is soft and malleable and not in my opinion the transmitter of vibration, it is more an absorber, so the mental thought was, what could be inside to cause this vibration? maybe not a metal as such!!

When a transformer hum's or vibrates, it is not the copper, it is the core lamina's. Here is a link to what goes into making these cores and aligning domains, all very interesting.

Hi Luc

very nice video as usual O0

Yep, I feel there is something very real to this. What was interesting in your video was the wave at 50-60hz, very little, probably because of the laminar design for 50-60hz frequency as a transformer, see my post above on making those lamina's.

I would think that the true resonance was at a lot higher frequency, the QEG is said to be 400hz so I believe. Yes be carefull with your setup that nothing flys off

Hi everyone,

I was out most of the day but had a chance to further test and video what happens when it hits resonance.

Please note, once I finished this test video the two rotor set screws had worked them self loose with the powerful vibrations.

I don't think I can go any further with this tests device as my design was mostly to confirm the effect Inductance parametric change have and confirm the effects that have been shared. My design becomes a disk brake at Resonance because the powerful vibrations flexes the rotor and the cores rub together, so I can't confirm how it affect the prime mover at Resonance.
I know that's the big question but I ask myself, why would it not be as they say since all the other effects are as shared.

WOW!  well done, Luc.  Just amazing that changing the inductance like that generates such a high voltage.
I captured one episode where the resonance was reached and both bulbs began to glow (before the "braking effect" kicked in), see screen shot below.

Note that each division represents 500 V, and the signal exceeds 2000V !

Luc as usual 10 out of 10

Do you remember some years back that you tried an item of mine? the parametric transformer! this is very similar, the problem back then was the frequency was not set to it's resonance, though I did get power out of it for no input at my end and was all down to changing inductance. Remember it was switching inductance and had a cap to create the LC, well this now has given me a further idea on being able to make this non mechanical. Changing inductance is not the only way, changing capacitance will also do this, though some might say it is electrostatic in this case, of course it is, that is how a capacitor holds it's charge isn't it? but where did the charge come from in the first place?

Going back to your video above, I think that the cores become very magnetised to the point of saturation and that is when it goes into this huge vibration caused by the N N and S S then N S and S N as the rotor (steel laminates) pass (pulling and pushing at speed). The frequency again is interesting, around 60hz, again I think it is to do with the laminar design but I could be wrong, have youcalculated the resonant frequency of the LC part with the rotor in connection and without? that might help a little O0

I have been reading on other sites such as OU.com and the usual downers, if I can call them that, are at work as usual, they really quite get up my nose and are quite depressing and why I do not post much there even though I have been a member for many years. Keep at it Luc while I put pen to paper on the solid state idea ;D

By the way how is the house boat coming along? quite a project O0l

Hi Mike,

the houseboat project was closed down for the winter since end of September. I should be able to re-start in June. We had quite a cold winter and lasted till a week ago. Spring is finally starting.

All the best in your experiments

Clearly, the resonance is stabilized -- very good!  Glad the device is no longer "self-destructing!"
Can you explain,  what needs to be done to go from your variable-inductance device to testing/replicating a QEG device?

@All,

I have been thinking about the QEG lately on how to make a solid state version.
And attached is my initial thought on the matter. Use two toroid cores with
a mains winding(110 or 230 VAC depending on main voltage). One is for input
and the other is for output. It will also work in revers. Then one make a high
voltage mutual winding through both cores. This winding is connected to a
capacitor so that the L/C combo is tuned to the input mains frequency.

Any comments?

Just got in but this is only a knee jerk reaction, where is the change in induction? There are four main things to the QEG, one is change in induction to create a voltage to start with (the most important), two is to use this voltage to generate a magnetic field, three resonance to increase this voltage and so the magnetic field in the core, four a transformer action to create an amperage by the convertion of high voltage low amps to a lower voltage with higher amps.

Note there is an exciter coil and cap, I am not sure the circuit diagram is exactly right :-\ This is a parametric generator which has been built on using resonance and finally normal transformer action. It is clever in so much that it nearly all takes place in the one and only core, which i am sure is creating many other interreactions O0

May change my thought later, as I said this is a knee jerk reaction before lunch ;D

It boggles my mind that builders must create such massive machines when a "one watt output, proof of principle" device would would be convincing that the theory? is valid.

Not everyone has the ability to build such a massive device, however a 1/100 working scale model could be mass produced and sold as a kit, available to interested parties.

If it is real, that would be my approach as a first step in promoting the device.

I would say don't waste your time building the large unit, try a scale model first.

If the argument is that it is not scaleable then some non-linear point must be shown to be a limiting factor for downward scaleability.

Most things are scaleable e.g IC engines, electric motors and generators.

Granted, there may be a small improvement in efficiency as the size changes, but nowhere near order of magnitude improvement.

GL: your idea is easily testable.

I'll second that.

I would think a 3" ferrite toroid with a center mounted CPU fan motor turning the armature would be more than adequate to prove the concept.  And quite potentially, if running at higher RPMs and using ferrite, could still produce 10-20 watts of useable output.

Question: What is the difference in the gap between the primary core and the rotor core that would give an effect or not give an effect. Or asked another way, what I to E core gap would be required to move from zero to full effect?

If the distance between this is not that great, maybe I can suggest using a solenoid to push the I core in and out instead of rotating the core. The solenoid action would place the complete I core in the maximum reaction range instantly instead of having it sweep across in a rotation. If you bring the I core close to the E core manually, can you see a spike on the scope? hehehe

The solenoid I have in mind is one that can be used right off a chemical dosage pump model Pulsatron Series C. I am attaching a pdf on the dosage pump, page 12, it is housed in #50 that is secured to the main body mounting base #51.

You should be able to find a used or even a broken one from any local water treatment company either for free or a few bucks. WT guys should have a good number of these is their junk you-never-know bin. I have a few at my water treatment company. In most cases the pulse circuit is blown (usually a very small component is shot, but the solenoid is still OK). May require a little oil in the shaft if it makes a high pitched noise. You can keep the pump mounting intact as it already has the solenoid well secured in a vertical position.

Are you still in Ottawa cause I can send you one if you are interested.

If there is an effect with short advancement, the idea of using a solenoid is a good option since there is also the potential to recycle the pulse energy used for the solenoid. You should be getting back some good flyback. Since the I core approach would then stop before it backs away, this would work like a pump where with the right diode and capacitor on the primary MOT would unload the primary coil as output at each pulse so the primary + e core would never act as an electromagnet as it always does when you get motor drag.

Anyways, you can always PM me if you are interested and let me know where to send it.

Always looking for ways to play.

@ION

Certain things require a minimal effort. Even if you did it small scale, you will still have to do all the R&D. Find the right motor, the right mounting, the right MOT analog, the right RPM, the right load, etc. Big or small, will not diminish the level of attention. At least in the bigger scale you already answered the question "Is it scalable".

wattsup

PS: @gotoluc, if you ever try this maybe consider winding a coil around the edge of the I core as well and check that output. Every watt counts.

So, along the lines of GL's post, in what WAYS can one change the inductance L?

Adding the I to the E of a core (+winding) is what gotoluc has been doing.  Very interesting; large electric-drive motor though, and some problems with "braking" seen in his vids.

I'm thinking of a core NEAR saturation.   A pick-up coil as usual, but then also a small drive coil that simply drives the core from not-saturated to saturation, thus changing L.
Operating an ordinary transformer PAST saturation (and back) repeatedly might show the effect...?  Giving higher efficiency than "usual"...

Or a permanent magnet on a wheel, operating near the core, while it is near  the saturation point.

Heating near the Curie point would change L, from high-inductance to low as one heats past the Curie point (probably slowly; interesting if one could speed this up, e.g., with a laser-pulse).

Other ideas?

One of my skills and training was in accurate low level measurements for the instrumentation industry. Things get tricky at the microvolt level.

At a few volts and amps, things are much easier. I'm thinking maybe something that would fit in a small brief case and not require a shop crane or hernia belt to deal with. Also the cost would be much less.

Wattsup: I thought most of the Research on this device was done and what was presented was more or less finished, but ripe for refinement, the D part of R&D.

One of the difficulties in building this - especially in a model or small form is going to be that gap needed.   I heard Robitaille say it needed to be 1/10000 (one tenthousandth) of an inch so it's a very close tolerance.   And now he is saying it works better above 500 or 600 volts - probably 1KV to 2KV being optimal.   So I would suspect among other things that with that small gap there is some plasma happening in that gap ( I think they mentioned that too).    Not sure if this is really relevant to your question about using a solenoid but it sounds to me like that would change a lot of factors and also you would need a very fast solenoid that could constantly reverse directions at a high rate.   Sounds like a component that wouldn't last long if moving a large core.   Lots of losses in reversing directions with that much mass.   Just my off the top thoughts ....

Hi Resonance Guys,

May I support the PhysicsProf and the Woopy's very experiments with this simple observation I made a couple of years ago.

It was not my idea and was inspired by a now deceased (and regretted) 'OU' guy friend of mine.
At this time, I considered this as a mere amazing effect without any practical interest.

Nerzh - so yes we see a similar/same effect!

Question - with your rod hanging freely so the "ringing" will not damp out so fast (as mine), how long does the sine-wave signal last?  (ms, seconds or more?)

Hi PhysicsProf,

How long does the sine-wave signal last?  With a single 'knock' I guess?
I dunno. I will test it again.

I had also tried to vibrate the rod with a small toy buzzer  fed with a small battery.
It worked pretty well. But, as the buzzer comports one coil, I considered this as not relevant.

What is amazing, IMHO, is that it did not work with iron (a bolt).
More precise results ASAP.

Have just read through this topic and would like to offer my thoughts.  It is the coils connected to a capacitor that caught my eye, and this may well be the reason it could work.  The attached paper was written some years ago after studying Prof Turtur's motor claims and demonstrates that a capacitive load plus some magnetic delay can produce OU.  This can occur in transformers but also in PM motors.  If so the simple coil capacitor configuration of the QEG might not be the optimum arrangement.  It would be better to have multiple coils and capacitors to create some additional magnetic delay.  The second paper deals with magnetic delay lines to demonstrate that they can produce negative input resistance.  The third paper looks at magnetic delay in a slightly different light.

Fits right along with the Johnson side by side motor/generator. The two fields interacting with each other. This is why the Torres configuration on a single shaft does not work.

I've also given thought to the effects of finite propagation times for the magnetic (and electric) fields, as discussed in other threads.

But here we find detailed equations and solutions - intriguing indeed.

I agree with ION that experiments are needed.  Or hasn't someone done experiments along the lines of the third paper already?  The paper seems so theoretical, but points to the need for actual experiments.

Been looking at the QEG in more detail.  Did a FEMM simulation to establish how the inductance of the 3100 turn coils changes with rotor movement.  The chart shows the inductance going from 20 H when the rotor is in line with the spigots to 5H when the rotor moves 45 degrees (originally I said 22.5 degrees but that was wrong), half way between the spigots.  And that is with an air gap 0.033 inch (the smallest I could do in FEMM) whereas the drawing shows a gap of 0.013 inch.  So the real thing would have an even higher maximum inductance!.  Those values are too high for the claimed 400Hz resonance.  But of course it all depends on the actual mu of the materials used, and FEMM may not reproduce the correct value.

So turning to parametric pumping of the high voltage tank circuit, I did a simulation in Excel using a clipped cos^2 function as the best fit to the inductance (see chart).  That huge inductance change is somewhat overkill for such pumping, you get better results with smaller changes, but it does pump the voltage up to high kilovolt  levels and then you can extract power.  I simply include a series resistor in that tank circuit and calculate the power in that.  That eliminates the need for the other winding (but it would be required to step down the voltage in a practical design).  I can adjust the rotation speed to match the LC resonance of that tank circuit for maximum pump action.  When I get something that works well I will modify my FEMM to create the correct inductance changes (like thinner spigots so as to get inductance spikes over smaller degrees), then apply the Excel results to the coils in FEMM to discover the torque waveform and power input.  All this so far without any magnetic delay.

Well that 1.2 COP is interesting.  Whilst I agree with the author of that critique that there is little to be gained by just replicating what others have done and spending much time and effort getting nowhere, I think the exercise should be discovering where the extra energy comes from.  And that could lead to better systems for extracting that energy.  I have strong opinions on how energy can be extracted from the electron spins responsible for magnetism, and that applies to soft materials as well as PM's.  So I am looking at the thing from a theoretical viewpoint and especially in the magnetic domain.  My simulations help me understand the inner workings and particularly the timings or phase shifts involved.  I am convinced that with proper phases between the mechanical movement and the electrical or magnetic waveforms we will get the situation where over part of a cycle the closed E field that creates voltage in a coil is of a phase that extracts energy from the electron spins (i.e. tries to slow them down) that is not given back later in the cycle.  I think also this can happen in transformers that are used well outside their normal operating conditions.  All that rubbish in the QEG manual about the exciter circuit extracting zpe energy is IMO nonsense.

I am at the moment looking at an inductance variation waveform that holds the inductance constant over most of the cycle, then changes to a higher value for just a short time (and that would be a significant change of QEG geometry).  That gives me a reasonable sine wave output as decided by the LC circuit, with little pulses occurring in synch with the waveform as decided by the RPM.  That seems to be the best sort of parametric pumping, and does the right thing keeping the circuit oscillating whilst delivering power to a load.  So what goes on during those pulses is something I am looking into.  It seems that the leading edge of the rising inductance has the effect of reducing the current whilst the trailing edge of falling inductance has the opposite effect but introduces a greater rise than the preceding fall.  Now that might translate into a mechanical drag overall but that remains to be seen.  The 1.2 COP obtained by various experimenters suggests not.
