Title: Which device?
Post by: darkspeed on 2010.06.14, 02:26:04

How much of a delay was there between the videos and the Dear Lindsay, letters?

Could he be describing a progression of the technology rather than something we see in the videos?

There are at least 3 and easily 4 or more variations of the device.  There is a long videos that shows all of them and has some pertinent details deleted (audio).

Thanks G! - so he could be describing a later version of the device where some of the components had changed.

Yes, I think that has been a source of confusion all-along.  It is difficult to understand what SM is trying to say when you do not know which device he is describing.  We can assume that each of them works by the same principles, but you can't determine the configuration of either device.

Doesn't matter anyway.  I need to get back to sweeping for a sweet pulse frequency...
