Well this weekend i spent with my youngest son building a gocart.
Found enough bit's and pieces to put it altogether O0
Was finished by lunchtime today, and spent the afternoon hooning around the backyard.
Haven't had this much fun in years ;D,thought i was in my teens again.
But now the body is reminding me i'm 50 C.C
Post your father/son projects here--lets see what you have done together.

Nice! A very lucky boy.
I had one too when I was young, but I had to figure it out, and build it myself. It was made from 2x2 wood, and was belt driven. I also rebuilt the 5hp engine myself.
Well Brad...
We've had many over the years. But for us the most enjoyable was participating in an event for charity called the
" Red Dragon race " The owner and founder of Welshpool airport was an accomplished pilot who had a " thing " for human powered flight. He dreamt up the idea into a race that occurred once a year with the proceeds going to the North Wales Air Ambulance scheme.
Picture one is Mathew riding " Big Red " on our first entry, second year of the event. The machine is simply powered by a fan, no direct contact. We came second place.
Picture two is a year later with Mathew an Alan riding " Red Rocket " this time Big Red won.
Picture three is our finest and last machine, " The Black Knight " it beat everything. In fact we managed to achieve a speed of 15 miles per hour with this one.
Sadly the founder of the race died in an air accident and the Red Dragon Race hasn't been run since.
That last race also saw grandfather, ( me ) father and son team. Take first second and third place. Mike riding a twin fan version of Red Rocket.
Cheers Graham.

I'll be smiling for a long time thanks !
Here's a pic of the last project I did with the boys
it was decided I was a bad influence , that's an aluminum rover V8 sticking out of the back .
We actually hacked it up in a weekend .(gasoline demolition saw ,which set the standard for the finished look !:.)
Grand dad and Grand son? Here is a small project we did. Probably not politically correct today.

Hi Chet.
I have the car standing on the yard, a Rover P5B. That engine was considered large here in the UK at 3.5 litre with a 180 BHP output using 100 octane fuel.
How did you manage to steer it? Did you have a couple of concrete curbs in the trunk?
Cheers Graham.

Ahh the good old days...

Yes the same engine .. was 215 Cu inch here ...was teeny (I believe the smallest engine GM every mass produced ?)
Alum engine was 100 lbs heavier than stock VW engine,.
Went straight just fine ....
Had the cooling system up front and battery box ..yes it was dicey to keep on the ground ...always felt it could flip
Over backwards onto the roof .
Kids named her "RocketBug"
