As the title suggests, here's a thread dedicated to " ENGINES "
The first recorded invention came from Heron of Alexandria around 60 AD. Effectively a steam turbine or better described as a " reaction engine "
The term engine was used for most machines that converted any form of energy into rotary motion. Today most of us know the internal combustion engine, there's Billions of them in use around the planet. They convert high energy density liquid or gaseous fuels into rotary motion. These engines followed on from the steam age that brought about the Industrial revolution.
I have spent most of my adult life in the pursuit of preservation of early internal and external combustion engines. I have also been involved with the production of working scale models.
Please feel free to put forward any ideas, thoughts on how we might improve the efficiency and perhaps, more importantly the emissions from these very popular machines.
Cheers Graham.
The video is of an engine that was inspired from a conversation that I had with Verpies a couple of years ago. We were discussing an aspect of the IC engine whereupon he said " I don't know, I can't visualise the process " this statement set a seed that germinated last year into a finished and working engine.
It has electronic ignition with the sparks timed at TDC. It runs on Propane gas and employs an 8 stroke cycle. This is twice the number of revolutions from a conventional 4 stroke engine. This was done to aid cylinder cooling.
The engine serves no practical purpose other than to visualise the combustion process, she's called OCULO. Sadly, short lived as the big end bearing collapsed and a catastrophic failure ensued....

Very timely topic ( And there is some passion among members of the various FE forums)
Also an engine can create some extreme conditions for "testing on the cheap"
Example the Sam Leach water fuel claim ( and others, Herman Anderson etc !
Thanks

PS
Your invisible engine is amazing "combustion " learning tool ...she needs to come back !
Hydrogen....
Thanks Chet. O0
Indeed, Hydrogen as a fuel in the IC engine is virtually emissions free but is both expensive and difficult to store in quantity. I wonder about what the NOX value's might be too?
When the weather gets better to be back out in the workshop I will look into the possibility of a HHO engine. The major problem with HHO is that the changes of state's are almost instantaneous from a rapid expansion to a virtual vacuum in the blink of an eye. Also conventional spark plugs get wet and fail.
OCULO has proven that a Borosilicate glass cylinder works with the piston floating on a couple of Viton rubber O rings to seal so another " Glass " engine will follow but fuelled by HHO.
Almost resurrected.... ;)
Cheers Grum.
We need to get you a high speed camera for that HHO OCULO viewing
to sort that "what's it really doing ?" Out !
( phase change super heated steam too ?
Exciting stuff indeed!
Thanks

Ben over at AppliedScience has done some work with gas hydrates as a means of H2 storage as gas hydrates:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3trDB5hN4Ug
Nitrogen oxides do decompose into water to form nitric acid, which ends up being used as a nitrogen source in plants.
So I suppose worst-case the emissions end up raining down as weak fertilizer? Not great, but still a lot better than leaded gasoline...
In diesel engines, the NOx emissions increase with compression ratios and overall efficiency. So in the end it's either a choice of generating more NOx or burning a lot more fuel. Arguably that's how VW was 'cheating' in their diesel engines; they weren't wasting enough gas. C.C
Known by many earlier members as evolvingape, Rob invented a water pump that used the HHO generated in a small chamber to pump water. Here's a link to his thread....
https://www.overunityresearch.com/index.php?topic=2288.0
He passed on his prototype to me several years ago, to go into my " museum " as he affectionately called my vintage engine collection. The design is very simple and proved that a small amount of energy could raise water to immense height, basically dependent upon the structural integrity of the construction materials used. We never raised the pressure higher than a couple of hundred PSI but it might be interesting to see if there was a point when the HHO would " auto ignite "
Pumps like these could be used in 3rd world countries where sunlight is abundant to provide the energy for the HHO cell to operate. With only one moving part, the NRV ( non return valve ) they could be very easily maintained and I'm betting that the electronics would give up first!
Attached link to us testing the HHOP in the kitchen several years ago. We used an " overkill " ignition system to ensure the spark plug remained dry.

yes it is. Luvyawork. Oculo was amazing. Reminded me of the transparent carbie on the yt better everyday channel.
Having re read the HHOP thread through Rob's initial build and testing I found one statement interesting. " implosion "
This event follows almost immediately after the combustion of the gas. I started thinking about the possibility of a simple, self contained engine.
Many readers will be aware of the toy steam engines that are commonly known as " oscillator's " the cylinder and piston assembly rocks too and fro across the port faces for admission and exhaust. I'm thinking of a slightly modified version where the pivot is placed right at the bottom end of the cylinder. The cylinder will carry both the HHO cell, ignition electrode and piston in one. The cell will be filled with water and a screw valve will be fitted so that the piston can be inserted into the bore and then sealed.
The piston rod will be attached to an overhung crank and a shaft that carries the flywheel.
The hope is that at just after TDC the gas is fired and the explosion/implosion will occur in a single revolution? The cycle repeating until the water runs out....
I'm not aware that this sealed system idea has been tried before so I've bitten the bullet and ordered a few bits and bobs from eBay today. Luckily it's stuff that I can make use of in the future so no real loss.
Cheers Grum.

Hi Chet.
The answer is yes, it's virtually the HHOP with a solid piston rather than a hydraulic one. The problem might be that I won't be able to generate sufficient gas between the cycles.
I haven't spoken with either Rob or Brad for over a year now.

Hi Grum,

An old engineer friend of mine once said to me " do what you know Graham, you won't go far wrong " it's a philosophy that I've tried to adhere to for most of my life.
I tend to ponder upon a new design for days, I'm able to visualise the construction in my mind. This won't be any Picasso, Rembrandt machine but more on the lines of Henry Ford's " kitchen sink " motor. See attached picture. I too am choosing to use a horizontal format.
The simplicity of Rob's HHOP using " off the shelf " pipe fittings should make the construction fairly quick and easy. I am choosing 1" BSP or 1" NPT ( for our USA based friends ) in 316 stainless Steel. The cylinder will be made from a barrel nipple, internally honed for the piston. This will screw into a " tee " piece on the centre line. The bottom leg will carry the HHO cell and the top leg will have a standard automotive spark plug. I will modify the tee by cross drilling an 8 mm hole, through the centre line and Silver solder a short length of ground stock/drill rod through it to make the trunnions. A couple of Plummer/Pillow blocks will provide the pivot and support for the oscillating cylinder. More to come once the weather bucks up a bit.
Cheers Grum.
The ordered parts are coming in slowly with the cylinder and HHO cell material coming from China. I couldn't source 100 mm long 316 stainless Barrel nipples here in the UK. Having given the project a little more thought I went for malleable Iron fittings for the remaining parts which are much cheaper. Just the cell and cylinder will be made from stainless Steel.
I have attached a gif of an oscillating cylinder steam engine for you to visualise how the proposed engine will be constructed. The cylinder on my engine will be pivoted where the steam enters and exhausts rather than on its centre.
Cheers Grum.
Whilst we're waiting for the materials to arrive I would like to draw attention to the interested readership, this excellent website dedicated to the hot air engine.
http://hotairengines.org/
You will note that the ideas and practical designs go back nearly 300 years. During the Victorian era many small engines were used to power machinery reasonably efficiently but, more importantly safely.
In today's society we're looking for the " zero Carbon " and zero emissions solution, maybe the Stirling cycle engine could enjoy a Renaissance?
Cheers Graham.
The photo is of a half scale replica of the Robinson 4B " table top " engine with regenerative displacer. Built, under license by L Gardner and sons, Manchester. The heat was provided by a small gas ring.
The second picture is of the castings to make the model from.
The vacuum engine.
Another variant of external combustion is the vacuum engine. Commonly known as flame licker/gulper engines. A quantity of heated air is drawn through a port at the front of the cylinder. A mechanically operated valve closes off the cylinder at about 3/4 of the downward piston travel. The heated air rapidly cooled by the either air or water cooled cylinder forms a vacuum. The flywheel aids the piston to the bottom of the stroke before atmospheric pressure pushes it forward for the power stroke. An exhaust valve opens automatically to purge the now increasing pressure before the piston reaches the end of the stroke. The cycle is then repeated, over and over until the heat source is extinguished.
The power is directly proportional to the area of piston diameter so these engines, in the main, weren't that powerful. They found uses in driving things like sewing machines and, believe it or not, Dentists drill's.
This principle could also be reversed, if we had a cheap way of super cooling the cylinder we could run the engine from air at ambient temperature.
The photo is of a range of vacuum engines that I designed over the last 20 years or so. They're called CHUK, the V twin was the latest in the line completed just about 18 months ago.
The video is of my favourite, own design, Nattie a wee toy based upon a beautiful design from the National gas engine company of Ashton under Lyne Manchester.

As a lad, I had the privilege to help rebuild a 2cy JD and could put my head in the cylinders. My fav is the hit and miss. Helped to start up a FM once. Quite a joy. What I have always wondered is why the Sterling didn't make it in places that have lots of sun? I watched a video in India of a really big one doing water pump and grinding jobs so it had to be strong. Yet, only toys. Frenzels or lenses on the hot side and air cooled on the other from the flywheels. Could gen electricity in the deserts easy.
I tried to start such a stirling engine a couple of years ago.
This is the same motor in the foto. So it failed to do .
It seems the shaft was bent, and a tight rotate.

It looks like a Rabb or a Jost stationary hot air engine. However there were " knock off/copy " engines made in India. Very popular for small power applications. They also made them fitted with a large fan for air conditioning.
Highly desirable and collectible here in the UK.
You will definitely need to straighten the crankshaft and get it moving freely as any available power would be absorbed by a tight bearing.
Cheers Graham.

Hi Thay.
Luckily I've been around these engines long enough to know your abbreviation's, I'm guessing JD as John Deere and the ubiquitous Fairbanks, Morse. I was told that FM in the 1920's was producing over 2000 engines a day !! Such was the demand of the power hungry in the States. Mind you there's several hundred in preservation over here too.
The Stirling engine does have its limitations but I think that it could see a Renaissance as we now have much more interesting, modern materials to play with. It's rumoured that the engines might be fitted to power submarines because they're virtually silent in operation. And possibly deep space application's?? Absolute zero one side and a small Nuclear reactor the other that's one Hell of a temperature differential.

A presentation I did enjoy was from Sky Huddleson who's invested his recent life into R+D and factory production of the Bourke engine.
He's very open about the lessons-learned, tips+techniques involved in building+reproducing fuel-detonating engines like this, and ways to mitigate many potential problems. The presentations are basically a checklist of problem->solution for this novel class of engine.
The end-goal seems to have a series of ultra-high-compression Diesel engines that are extremely fuel efficient with relatively low NoX emissions due to the longer burn-time allowed with the scotch-yoke design. And have engines that are not only efficient, but long-lasting and indefinitely maintainable in the same way that many early steam engines are (it's not uncommon to find 19th century century steam engines in working order today). ^-^

Hi Hakasays.
Many thanks for your introduction of an engine that I was totally unaware of. O0
At first glance I was sceptical about the two stroke principle being applied until I saw the graphic. I was naturally assuming that a super charger would be needed to provide the air for combustion. Not so, the isolated pistons draw in the air on their underside and then transfer it through ports ready for compression. Very neat!
Another important point is that of the dwell at TDC, this will allow a longer time for the combustion process to get started making for improved efficiency.
My only concern is that of adequate cylinder lubrication? Most normal ICE's use the engine oil for two functions, lubrication being the obvious but the oil also removes excess heat from the cylinders too.
I think current politics will scupper any real attempts for future development as we seem Hell bent on going electric. Time will tell.
Cheers Graham.
I had the pleasure of meeting Sky and his display at ESTC and see the 2 cyl Bourke broke down showing the internals. Sad that it did not take hold and fly. A 4 cyl 454CI is impressive and was said to fail the EPA test as there was no readings. Hope I can see him again in the next convention. Set to go.

I'll have to go over my notes, but I think he mentioned two mitigation strategies
- One was on ceramic nanocoating used as long-term lubricant. I guess these are fairly common in higher-end bearings. The coating would be on the liner as well as the piston+seals.
I believe the other was on finding ways to maintain thermal expansion consistent between the piston and cylinder wall. That the main problem of piston heating was the thermal expansion that causes it to jam/weld into the cylinder wall. There was a lot of talk on materials selection to mitigate this problem but he was quite upfront about the techniques+solutions for it.
I did also find this excerpt from this old paper that may be relevant:
http://acversailles.free.fr/documentation/08~Documentation_Generale_M_Suire/Moteur/Documentation/Performance_testing_a_30_cubic_inch_bourke_engine.pdf#page=2&zoom=auto,-85,208
QuoteThe whole reciprocating piston-yoke assembly is supported by the piston rod bearings which have oil and pressure seals. Hence, the volume of the cylinder beneath the piston is used as the scavenge pump. The piston skirts are cam ground and slotted with a diameter such that a slight preload exists between the skirt and cylinder wall. This feature, according to Bourke, greatly assists heat transfer from the piston to the coolant enabling the use of high compression ratios and correspondingly high combustion temperatures without associated piston failure.

He definitely has this aura of engineering+innovation to him. You can tell he's probably
living at the shop/factory that's working on these things. ;D
Well the postie has been busy of late, several items have arrived for the new motor.
The horizontal tube will need some serious trueing before we can call it a cylinder. It has a welded seam which puts the bore out by several Microns. Once trued an honed I can then order the nearest size of solid PTFE round bar to make the piston. I'm going to keep the same diameter right through to the crankpin, effectively piston and conrod, all in one. Being PTFE a simple 8 mm hole will suffice for the big end bearing.
I would like to keep the engine as near autonomous as possible so the Piezoelectric gas cooker ignition device will be operated by an eccentric off the crankshaft. This eccentric will be fixed by a grub screw to effect ignition timing.
Sadly the temperature's here are still a little low, the brightly burning coals of the living room fire are definitely more alluring.
Cheers Graham.
As most of the old hands here at OUR know, my passion is making working model engines from the days of yore.
My latest project has been running, mainly off and on for the past 19-1/2 years. I would like to present my 1/3rd scale replica of the 1872 Brayton Ready-Motor. At the time it was the most powerful of IC engines being built in the world. The inventor was George B. Brayton from the United States of America. The Brayton cycle has been almost forgotten but everyone who flys in a modern jet is powered by it !! ;)
https://youtu.be/9NMiwEyade0
The engine stands at 2 Feet tall or around 600 mm and is powered by a Propane and compressed air mixture that's ignited simultaneously as the valve opens. The superheated air acts upon the piston to make the power as it expands.
Cheers Graham.
Graham,
again an incredible piece of work O0
Is that the exhaust hose going out to the left?
What kind of gasses comes out of it?
Regards Itsu
Thank you Itsu. O0
No, that pipe carries the compressed air for initial startup. The vertical, fluted column is hollow and becomes the air reservoir when the engine starts running. Currently the engine is quite tight and will need some running in before it will become autonomous in operation. The cylinder is double acting, the bottom side is where the heated air expands creating the force. Above the piston is the air compressor that keeps the reservoir charged.
The exhaust gasses are rather smelly.... ;D If you know anyone that runs a car on LPG the smell is unmistakable....
Cheers Graham.

It's been a bit of a labour of love, the finished engine is dedicated to an old friend of mine who passed on rather suddenly some 20+ years ago. He sent me a picture from an old book that he'd found. We were going to make the engine together.
I have many photos and short video clips but here's a few more important ones. The picture that opens the selection was the only reference point for the whole project. A flywheel that I had in my possession became the standard that was used to scale the rest of the engine. There's also a little bit of history making with this project. Not a single engine of this type has survived. It's the first Brayton cycle engine to run on gas for over a century and more amazingly it's the only model that actually runs!
I've just added a photo of a recently made model of the more successful Brayton cycle engine. One or two full size engines are in museum preservation. We've discovered that my version, the earlier type had got the air compressor much too large a volume for the cylinder to cope with. The horizontal version has a much smaller compressor cylinder and is, more importantly mounted separately.
Cheers Graham.

Really neat engines, I just parked my 1947 9N tractor after moving some 1100 lb round bales this morning. The old girl doesn't have active hydraulics so I built a heavy 4' x 8' skid. I pull along side the round bale, unhook the chains from the 3 pt hitch, push/roll the bale onto the skid with the tractor, hook up the chains and drag it to where I want it then push it off. It's old school but back in the day when tractors couldn't lift heavy objects they pulled/dragged it on skids. It's kind of funny because most my neighbors with there newer $250,000 JD tractors still wonder how I can move/place 10 round bales an hour with a 76 year old, 23 hp tractor. To put it into perspective, the turbocharger on there engine probably generates more hp than my engine does.
I love it because it's in line with how I grew up and the farmer's motto. It doesn't matter how we getter done only that we do. There is no wrong or right way only a way in which common sense and practicality prevails.

Rather than clutter the thread with my musings let's put into the right area for discussion.
What if we were to make an inverted vertical cylinder test rig? Flywheel above the cylinder. A crank web, with adjustable length so as to be able to vary the compression ratio up to 25:1. Manually operated valves could be fitted to admit the fuel ( water in this case ) for testing.
This compression ratio was used on the English Electric Deltic engine and I was told that maintenance staff were warned to keep clear of the exhaust pipe because of the carcinogenic output.
A couple of questions here.
How quickly do the " K " type thermocouples register a change in temperature?
Would the addition of a sprinkling of pure Lithium granules in the bottom of the cylinder alter the water chemistry under extreme heating and pressure?
Cheers Graham.
Edit, due to spelling error.

It is clear to me that you have never witnessed some of the majestic machines that our forbears made, actually running. From only a few Meters away you would barely hear a sound. Just the flywheel turning would indicate that they were indeed doing the job that they were made for, making power....
IMO there's nothing wrong with trying to improve upon the existing known technology and water being in such great abundance seems a prime candidate. As a species we've used water as a fuel for eons. Its flow turned wheels before we began heating it to make steam that spurred on the Industrial Revolution.

Long time ago when I started working my choice was for internal combustion engines so, I may know what are you talking about.
In my opinion we as human beings already making enough damage by polluting water and start to burning it as well isn't something that would be desired despite our continuous hunger for a form of energy that would never satisfy irrational requirement for even more power which in at least 50% of cases is just a waste that produce even more pollution.
Yet, I can't help myself to admire the beautiful art of engineering and appreciate some pieces of highly skilled in the art. I appreciate the real value and agree that mechanical work need to be done ... just not with water or oil as always a viable alternative is and was possible.
Classic,
Please explain how it is possible to create pollution by burning water. The only way to burn water is to first break it down into hydrogen and oxygen. Then when you burn that it becomes water again. So how is that polluting anything? I'm sorry but your posts just don't make any sense.

Not wishing to be seen to be picking on you but this Mindset of H and O is whats keeping water from being a fuel.
There are many ways to burn water.
You can restructure the Atomic Crystalline water structures with Magnetic Fields to give the water a South Pole Field and burn it as OIL see here https://rumble.com/vhodfb-full-unedited-version-of-oil-from-water..html
Or you can do it the olde fashion Alchemist way of doing the Great Work and just throw a match on the water and watch it burn.
seen here https://rumble.com/vgdio9-burning-water-the-alchemist-way..html
And both of these experiments leave little doubt that water is NOT H and O.
Another way to burn water is to run it through an In Line Magnetic Cell but we arent up to that yet. Or spray it on an oil fire will see the water burn with as great an intensity as Petrol itself.
In the Light Crystal Universe, Wind or air is pure Water Vapor and if it wasnt easy to burn, we wouldnt have fire. In the H and O universe Water extinguishes fire and no other ORIGINAL thoughts enter the equation.
So it does matter what science theory one is inventing under.
And given Oil is Earth Field restructured water, burning it is a pollutant and with the wrong Mindset and fake theories, we have managed to pollute the entire planet with our garbage science and poison our children and 'we' have no way to stop this pollution of over consumption under the present Physics based upon the Rigged high school electrolysis experiment that is the very foundation of the Atomic Structure as a bunch of Marbles weighed at sea level as a way to Guesstimate their number in an imaginary nucleus. Yet you (and all the others) fail at the very Basic of science lessons to question everything as there is NO questions but blind acceptance that water is H and O. And the only way to burn it is to apply battery DC to make gases when NO understandings are displayed as to what Battery DC is or its 2 individual charge factors giving 2 distinct Charged air samples. Direct magnetic Current is not just electrons breaking the bonds by some miss understood physics law. We need to get past this fake and gay approach or we will continue to go extinct.
We dont fight Lies of global boiling and climate lock downs and unnecessary Meds with Fake theories or more lies. The truth sets you free with free energy. Lies give you enslavement with Metered energy.
I was a volunteer firefighter for over 26 years. And your nonsense about water burning when used on an oil fire is just NOT true. If the water is applied as a fine stream of water droplets the air mixed with the water droplets fans the flames making the fire much hotter. But if you use a more solid stream and attack the base of the flames of the oil fire you can put it out as I have done many times. You just have to careful you do not direct the water stream into the oil as that will agitate the oil and make it burn hotter. If you use a very fine stream of water more like a fog with little force and direct that into the flames the water will turn to steam and rob the fire of both oxygen and heat and help extinguish the flame. I'm sorry but your understanding of water and oil fires is not what I have seen in real life.
Respectfully,
Carroll

If you use a very fine stream of water more like a fog with little force and direct that into the flames the water will turn to steam and rob the fire of both oxygen and heat and help extinguish the flame. I'm sorry but your understanding of water and oil fires is not what I have seen in real life.
Respectfully,
Carroll
It is quite clear your vast experience with fires proves that water cannot burn.
except if one changes the frequency of the water is does burn. You completely ignore the fact your "ONLY WAY" is wrong and ya just cant teach old dogs new tricks or magnetic principles of Fire. Even Walter Russell said that to understand Fire and Ice is all one needs to know to understand Matter and Energy. Its Energy Frequency and Vibration and water can have its Vibrational frequency changed to make it burn.
There is no point in debating with you. Particle physicists and ex fire fighters already know all there is to know about water.
Is there a particular reason you are so adamant in your beliefs in an Age of total uncertainty?
Now you want to change the subject. I never said water couldn't be broken down easily by using high frequency to help in the breakdown of the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. I said that putting water on an oil fire does not cause the water to burn. And I am quite sure the fire hose doesn't change the frequency of the water. I am quite willing to change any of my understanding when someone shows me some real data to change my mind. A bunch of mumble jumble without any real test data will not convince me.
Your comments about the age of uncertainty are very telling about your beliefs. The very liberal media wants all of us to believe there are no real truths. That kind of thinking only leads to destruction because that allows one to think that what was correct last year is now not correct. So what was wrong last year is now accepted this year. Sorry but I don't play those kinds of games.

I dont know what you are on about but I did quote your most emphatic statement that the only way to make water burn is to make it into 2 gases.
This clearly isnt the case.
" I said that putting water on an oil fire does not cause the water to burn. "
I say that your experience is limited and flawed in its conclusion.
Try making a PETROLEUM Fire in a 55 gal drum and spray water all over it to see where and when and under what circumstances water does burn... More an experiment rather than a Call Out and follow the manual type of lesson. You might even learn how to do it.

One day we tried to start a petrol engine tractor. It was on Joe's brothers farm. The rain had got into the motor and it wouldnt start.
Joe said to pour water into the carby and it will start. Everyone protested but they knew better than to disregard anything Joe says. So they poured water into the carby and the motor started. I really dont know much more than that but in all wisdom, it should have royally locked the motor up and even bust a piston. But it ran.
When around Joe, one needs a really open mind.
He had a straight 6 holden car. old school like a 60's model. The motor had been modified in that it was 'leaned' over which meant that at TDC the crank in relation to the conrod was that the piston was already moving down in the stroke at TDC when the TDC spark plug fired. This meant that the motor achieved Full power at an idle. More reves didnt add to the HP of the motor. The fuel consumption was almost nil as you could idle at 60 mph. I believe there was a 2 speed electric diff added to make this possible.
There is lots one can do to a ICE motor thats conventional and not over unity.
In one experiment, where an In Line Magnetic Cell was made from a hotdog muffler. The exhaust came out sweet clean air. Some guy from Melboune 'borrowed' this hotdog In Line Cell and had it tested in the Lab to sell to VW who had tens of 1000's of diesel cars that were impounded over their computer scam on emissions software. One could recycle the air out of the exhaust and pipe it directly back into the intake manifold and never have any emissions from a Diesel or petrol car ever again. The exhaust from this 'muffler' would CURE the driver if a hose from the exhaust was piped into the car whilst driving along. The 'components' of Wind or air are just varying in magnetic charges. CO2 is Air that has had all the South Pole magnetic energy removed by 'combustion' and can be Re-Magnetized in an In-Line Cell.
Joe refuses to touch ICE anymore. Too much Govt over site and Compliance Plate issues. In fact he hasnt used his science on a car in 26 years.
He does do 'party tricks' though. Like taking off a spark plug lead and sparking directly into the 6 cells of a battery. You can do this with the Spark that ignites the fuel but not the 'other' side of the Coil's spark where it will blow up the battery for those whi think they know the polarity of sparks. He can take this spark plug lead and arc the electronic ignition and it reverses the spark's polarity and the motor will never fire until its reversed again. So many stories and most I witnessed or helped.
We have held literally 100's of professionally held demos. Some lasted up to 3 days. They mostly went like this one did.... Some monied types from Canberra challenged Joe to take Sea water and make it 100% 'potable'. Joe said to bring the water they wanted treated. Well they 'salted' the Sea water with some nasty chemicals thinking that should make it impossible to restructure. Joe had them sit some 3 meters away like kids in school watching a lab experiment. Their personal Bio Magnetic Field was in such disarray, he had to have them sit 3 meters away or the experiment would NOT work. We can overcome this Field Disturbance factor of 'agro' individuals by having them dip their Left hand into Charged water and waving their left hand over their head 3 times but its only good for minutes at a time. Anyway, Joe turned their spiked water into fresh drinkable water. They paid their demo fee and off they went and Joe thought they would be interested as commercial Benefactors. But no, they rang him up 2 weeks later and said 'they couldnt get their apparatus to work' even being built identical to Joes and operated the same as per their hidden camera video and wanted Joe to do it again to see if they missed something. They were there to steal the IP rather than invest. We have moved past Show and Tell. We may do demos if we are paid for our time. We actually dont care anymore. We have done enough proving to the skeptics and all for naught. If you dont believe water can be a battery or a fuel or a catalysist for Levitation and inertia devices then you have that right to remain ignorant. Its very difficult for me to write down this unique inventor's history without being 'prodded' by stupid statements like water will only burn if its made into 2 gases. All these posts are collated into a chapter in The Book. This is how I choose to record it. The story of ignorance, deceit, theft and assassination attempts is as interesting as the science itself.
In another trick he takes the spark plug lead and arcs the Hood or Bonnet struts and instantly the compressed gas inside has zero pressure left destroying the Thermodynamic properties of compressed gas inside rendering the strut useless but still perfectly intact. Some try to say it must cause a 'leak' on the seals or something but it doesnt. Joe can diagnose the fault in the engine bay without lifting the hood or even starting the motor. Some say this is second sight, but Joe says, God tells him what he needs to know when he needs to know it and he's never been wrong unless you ask Rachael his wife. Cayce needed to going a sleep like trance to access Akashic Info from the past present and future for his 15,000 recorded and investigatable readings. It is said that Tesla walked in the Park or fed the pigeons and the answers came to him. Joe merely needs to ask God how to build the Wardenclyff tower or what it 'broadcast' and God would start him abuilding it if he wanted to. Nothing escapes this guy. Nothing. And he dumps all this on me !!! I gotta ask why I dump it on youse guys but what else can I do under the provsio the Y factor of the Great Work of Alchemy is not to be revealed as to how ANY JoeCell actually works. But I have, its all there as a sum of all posts as Pearls for those with eyes to see. Whitelightningwizard gets it. The guy is a vacuum for Joe titbits. He doesnt say water cant be set on fire or that it wont burn in an oil fire, he asks how do you explain it, as Walter Russell also has an explanation.
And then I come to this forum and try to tell you like it is and all I get is water cant burn unless its been split first. Or jimboots "cool story bro". Gives me a headache.
Decades of over unity research and seems like it always ends in bickering or fake video claims. Even in Person with Joe in the workshop, there must be contamination with alcohol to make the water burn even when they bring their own water. The excuses they imagine to exist which is a reflection of their thoughts on our personage is as many as the experiments we have done.
Aristotle said that the Quintessence or the Aether as Teslas inventive source, set the Laws governing how the other 4 States of Matter interact. These "Laws" encompass the "Great Work" as referred to in Alchemy writings and without an understanding of same, no Wardenclyff tower with its 2 phase motor/generator broadcasting Scalar or Aetheric Flatline Direct Non Hertzian Current without wires to the other side of the planet, will ever be duplicated. The FBI had Teslas origins as the planet VENUS. It would have been better for Tesla to never have invented anything as its been a travesty of injustice to the man and We the Metered People.. The same can be said of Joe.
Everything is made of Light Crystals. If wood can burn so can water. One merely needs to understand the Energy (polarity), Frequency and the Vibration of Everything. Or one can rely on a lifetime of fighting fires to know all there is to know about Fire and Water.
Even Walter Russell said that to understand Water and Fire, one then knows all there is to know about the Physics of the Universal Construct.
I am actually surprised that NO ONE here actually remarked on the Fact that for the First time in Eons, has the actual Source for the phenomena known as 'electricity' both AC and DC, been freely given to a forum, or made public anywhere, where one would think this info is required for its production in any format, Over unity or otherwise. This HUGE DISCLOSURE completely went over all your heads. I have to ask, are youse all brain dead? Is all you want is free schematics to be more greedy than you already are? To have a greater ability to fuck up the planet and wage wars more efficiently? Tesla was Altruistic. Joe is Altruistic. As I am. There might be something to this mindset when dealing with Gods Creative Forces. Think about that for a while before embarking on your next 50:1 project and as you handle each and every component in its construction. Bless each component is a start, after all, each component is ALIVE. Thales, as did Aristotle said "Life is in Everything" giving rise to the theory there must be a god particle said some Higgs Buffoon.
Joe will do a demo for most anyone at a 1000 a day with video rights. But if this is how you want to Learn the Great Work of Free Energy, you wont understand a thing like all those 1000's before you. Perhaps there's the clue as to the decades of failure in over unity research except to a select FEW who clearly have a different mindset and a 'belief' in a higher source of knowledge.

It was Mr Diesel that invented the Spontaneous Combustion Engine known as the Diesel Motor. Words cast spells its why its called spelling. The word 'external' refers to the position of the Fire, like Steam engines required an Eternal combustion fuel fired generator to power the Piston by steam Imploding on the Piston. So "Internal" was used to describe this leap in Technology when placing the Fuel directly on the piston in a controlled Firing or combustion by bringing the 'fuel' inside the motor to run it. The fuel directly acting on the piston by the heat release mechanism (thermodynamics) to expand the Nitrogen in the Air rather than Suck water vapor into a vacuum. The Term Internal combustion engine is used to hide by a spelling meaning, the true "Nature" of its operation and how it was an improvement on its predecessor. One needs to know where we have been to go forward.
The Internal combustion engine replaced the Externally powered Implosion steam engine.
Mr Diesel was also one of them 'gifted' type of inventors that disappeared in mysterious circumstances. It was said the motor was first designed to run on Hemp?
It was said that he said at the dinner table before retiring to his state room that the conversation at the table was about running the motor on no fuel and that he was going back to his room to begin drawing it up or starting on it. Never to be seen again.
There is back ground to this 30:1 or 27: I believe is the actual ratio for the next Phase of 'Activity'.
Maybe research the jet propulsion engines as they like to compress air a whole lot to gain efficiency and they have data on compression ratios and its associated effects . Research man. But if you think about it the heat generated by just the air compressed and it may or may not require a spark to start the process. Its about the Nitrogen in the air we are looking to expand with 'heat' and there is Magnetic Energy in the Oxygen component of the Wind to 'release'. Cooling might be a problem but not in a test engine. when it runs, the cooling is the least of your problems.
Thats the best I can do.
I watched your video. I have seen alcohol burn before. I won't waste any more time with you. I'll just add that I am 77 years old and have seen many many scammers and con artists. Your comments below the video give you away when you claim it didn't work for the miner because he had bad motives. Real science doesn't work that way.

Dear MerLynn.
The early steam engines were using atmospheric pressure to do the work. Steam admitted into the cylinder was rapidly cooled by a water jet which caused a rapid decrease in the volume creating a vacuum. Your " implosion " ? Atmospheric pressure acted upon the piston crown ( open end ) and the beam was raised. Gravity was used to reset and refill the cylinder with steam ready for the next stroke.
As technology improved and boilers became much stronger the piston was moved under direct steam pressure. Further advances saw the steam used in multiple cylinders to get the most out of its expansive nature.
You mentioned Rudolph Diesel and his compression ignition engine. Actually he got the credit from the pioneering work done by George B. Brayton. Brayton is almost forgotten today but it was he who invented the direct fuel injection system but sadly died before the next step was patented by Diesel.
Brayton's own cycle, patented in 1872 is more commonly known as the jet engine. An open version of his closed cycle acting upon a piston engine. I mention this here because the Brayton cycle uses compressed air and fuel mixture together before its ignition the resulting expansion does the work.
Cheers Graham.

How quickly do the " K " type thermocouples register a change in temperature?
200ms - 2s depending on the thickness of the thermocouple wires and whether it is enclosed.
A fiberoptic temperature sensor might be faster and more inert chemically.

Would the addition of a sprinkling of pure Lithium granules in the bottom of the cylinder alter the water chemistry under extreme heating and pressure?
Yes and the exothermic reaction of Lithium with water would create Hydrogen and Lithium Hydroxide which would react with any aluminum in the vicinity or in the exhaust pathway....so don't use any aluminum alloys for the cylinder or the head or associated piping.
The presence of Lithium electrolyte will also create a galvanic common-mode voltage between bare thermocouple wires and the cylinder wall ...that voltage could constitute an error signal if the thermocouple measuring circuit is not engineered to reject it.

I shall have to look into the fiberoptic temperature sensor, I've never heard of that before!
I'm going straight for 50:1 compression ratio. I have several heavy crankshafts with a 50 mm stroke. I was intending to use 316 stainless Steel for the piston and cylinder/cylinder head and valve. A single valve can open for induction atmospherically and be mechanically operated for the exhaust stroke.
The pure Lithium granules are very expensive, are you able to suggest a cheaper alternative to this please? However this is just an additional side experiment. Initially I'm interested to see what temperature is actually generated in the compression chamber at that ratio.
Cheers Graham.

You have a foundry business so you must have high temperature kilns, don't you?
If "yes" then you can melt any lithium salt or hydroxide and electrolyse it with a steel electrode in a graphite crucible powered by a MOT and LV rectifier. You will get molten lithium on the negative steel electrode if you get rid of air in the crucible (especially the oxygen), e.g.: by flooding it with Argon.

Storage of the electron can be done in big capacitors. (modern "Leyden jars)
An object of this invention is to achieve voltages of up to 50,000 Volts, in which also can be provided, in some low-power at this voltage to f.i. activate asymmetric capacitors which everywhere, including in space, exercise thrust forces without the need for energy or fuel to be fed. Said asymmetric capacitor systems were already 40 years ago developed in the USA for the Air Force by Dr. T. Townsend Brown; these developments stayed relatively secret or no attention was donated to the technology of Brown, for decades.
For further explanation of the technology of Brown one would read U.S. Patent No. 2,949,550. The operation and theoretical background of this technology are well known by the inventor.
The thrust which asymmetrical capacitors exhibit is known as the 'Biefeld-Brown Effect'.
If there is no leakage of electrons, internally, ie an excellent dielectric um is required between the plates of the said asymmetric capacitors and also not externally, good insulation against leakage by the air or other medium, then the thrust is 'ad-infinitum'" and is provided by the 'gravitational inflow'.
If we let the thrust work anti-gravitational, ie if we want 'levitation', then the negative plate of the capacitor needs to be located vertically below
the positive plate and if horizontal movement is desired, then the positive plate has to be located in the direction of the movement compared to the negative plate; also in this case the energy is being supplied by the 'gravitational inflow'.
'Space-time' bends and a gravitational surf will established; on the angle of inclination of which the 'plate-pair of the capacitor continuously 'surfs'.
It will be obvious to the reader that only some possible capacitor embodiments are possible for operation of this technology.
Also, it is essential that the ohmic resistance in the cyclotron-circuit is minimal.
In 2000 and 2001, was shown in a number of experiments, that if 'free' electrons are send through very thin conductors, but only then if AC voltage of higher frequencies is applied, said 'free' electrons encounter much lower ohmic resistance, during and after passing through said thin conductor, a reduction to 95% is achievable.
We can speak of 'almost'-super-conductivity.
While Classical Physics for years is looking for super-conductivity by choosing certain materials and matrices, inventor has followed an entirely different course, like the creation of a change in the constitution of the 'electron-in-motion'
Now you tell me why we are stack with old polluting tech, please

This is a very Grey area for me. We have never played with anything Arduino here, ever.... I wouldn't have a clue as to where to start.
Cheers Graham.
Member lfarrand has experience (+expertise?) using the Arduino devices, perhaps he can give some pointers?
I would personally avoid them unless absolutely necessary, however, he seems to be having great success with his implementation.
Hi again Graham,
What I like about Arduino is they are dirt cheap and pretty easy to program. You CAN write your own programs. The language is pretty easy to understand. But most of us that use them use what are called "sketches". They are program parts that you can put together to make your device do what ever you want it to do. I just finished a simple project what reads the position of a pot and converts that into an adjustable time delay for a battery pulsing circuit I am building. I just used a already built sketch and modified it slightly to do what I wanted. If you have the time to learn a little they are actually fun to work with. But I also understand they are not for everyone. But if you want to look into that I will be glad to assist with programming or whatever else you might need in regards to sensors and such. And I see there is also someone else experienced with Arduinos too. I will be watching your project with interest.
Take care,
Carroll

Now you are telling me that we can't move forward because a have a legacy.
Fred from the shed will move with the flow as always did. Action should happen on a different level to get out of the mess.
If you can afford, have a look at Arie deGeus on this forum, download those files with patent and go slowly ... than just look around this forum and tell me if it follows the right direction as you may recognise few devices where people struggle and they are parts of Arie patents
And I'm telling you with all my heart and with all the honesty that we don't need ICE at all, nor burning anything including water unless we need a specific transmutation with the help of thermic treatment.
On heat engines...
I think most are ignoring first principals.
In effect, the fuel CxHy oxidizes with O2 forming CO2 and H2O plus energy producing a temperature rise. The rise in temperature produces expansion and a rise in pressure. The rise in pressure produces a force acting over a distance or work on some working element like a piston. The efficiency of all heat engines can easily be calculated by the maximum temperature of combustion versus the exhaust temperature to atmosphere. This is true because the difference or drop in temperature is the amount of energy performing work.
This explains why co-gen works so well and if our exhaust temp is 600C but we can use a hot water heat exchanger to reduce it to 50C then the efficiency jumps from around 30% to 95%. In effect, it doesn't matter how we reduce the exhaust temperature only that we do and use the energy to perform work or something useful.
Yet many drone on about all kinds of complexities and contrivance when the concept of efficiency is so simple even a child could understand it. The lower the exhaust temperature to atmosphere the greater the efficiency.
AC
Here is a clue most experts don't even understand...
In an engine everything is calculated with the expectation that everything should act like it should. If the cylinder temp goes from A to B then the pressure rises by C producing force D on the piston which moves E distance doing F work. Everything works so long as everything acts like it should.
Which begs the question, what if something didn't act like it should?, what then?.
There were some inventors who could produce more cylinder pressure and more work but the extra pressure was not due to a temperature rise. So of course the experts were baffled because they know of no other way to increase the pressure other than what they were taught from a textbook.
For example, one clever inventor modified his piston/head geometry, fuel injection and ignition system. The system was designed to act like a pulse detonation engine bouncing pressure waves between the head and piston like a resonator. In effect there were many higher pressure "cycles" within the normal combustion cycle. Kind of like PWM versus DC, where many smaller pulses can emulate a constant force.
Here we could be talking about ten times the pressure in one area but only for one tenth the time. Now we would have to consider not only the simple pressure/temperature by volume but also a pressure gradient, pressure region, regional density and a given volume changing it's momentum periodically within the cylinder. Oh shit, things just got really complicated in a way most people could not even imagine. On the surface this kind of engine would look no different than any diesel engine but it is very different.
That's the problem, a person cannot build what they cannot even imagine. We may need to get more creative.

I watched your video. I have seen alcohol burn before. I won't waste any more time with you. I'll just add that I am 77 years old and have seen many many scammers and con artists. Your comments below the video give you away when you claim it didn't work for the miner because he had bad motives. Real science doesn't work that way.
Bye
Real Science in an Age of Uncertainty.
In answer to being called a con artist. Right of reply
Here is a closed Mind in Action.
Sure, that the video was a scammer for click baits or whatever.
3 Days went into the preparation of the 5 videos made that day. The first day was for Charlie Speirs the Director of Earth Resources for the Victorian Govt. He was also Head of Implementing Carbon Credits for Victoria Australia.
This was his second visit as, like you with your closed Mind, he also couldn't get his mind around what it was he saw the first time so he came back again. The Indoctrination is Strong in OLD Dogs and New Tricks.
Charlie actually came back for 16 samples of water treated with the Magnetic In Line Cell ... https://rumble.com/vhrdlh-magnetic-in-line-joecell-restructuring-ocean-sea-water-into-fresh..html
Charlie had fully grasped the fact that HIS WATER could be burnt with just adding DC. But he "couldnt get his mind around where the salt went" in the De Sal Cell vid above.
This he wanted Lab Proof of.
The Next Day my family showed up and the vids are the results of the same experiments Charlie observed with the same setup. I take exception at some 77 yr old dimwit thinking he knows it all, yet still searches on OUR.
My comments...
"One day back in 2013, Maurice, a Gold Miner was negotiating with us to acquire Gold Separation Tech using just "Magnetic Water". As part of the Tech Demo, this 'Burning Water" procedure was done. No matter how many matches were thrown at the water it would not burn on this day. Not until Maurice exited and stood outside the shed could we "light" the water. Gold Miners tend to be greedy 'service to self' people. He wanted ALL the IP, not just Precious Metal extraction. He didnt even know why he failed the interview and there was no way to tell him."
William Reich the 'inventor' of orgone or his way of discovering the ONLY 2 Forces in the Universe
Positive and Negative DC
North and South Pole Magnetism
Compression and Expansion (Walter Russell)
Reich was also FAMOUS for his (re)discovery of the "Y" or YOU factor. In that the Experimenter's PHYSICAL Presence can and WILL have an IMPACT of the EXPERIMENT
Yet this very Scientific POINT Reich made available for experimentation is what proves to CITFTA its a fake experiment.
Only Mad Dogs and English fools would believe that this wasnt true.
Only closed minded Fools would think this doesnt extend to the AUDIENCE in close proximity to the experiment.
This is how REAL SCIENCE works where everything is magnetic. If the 'electrolysis indoctrination' is too strong then the mind is closed to real science.
What is presented here is a WAY to VERIFY to YOURSELF if you are a BUDDING ALCHEMIST Doing the GREAT WORK to have INSTANT Feedback as to the Progress one is making in utilizing this Y Factor to control an experiment.
This is obviously way above the heads of people like CITFTA
I think it is worth repeating what I wrote in an email this morning to another who is interested in learning how REAL SCIENCE works.
we all agree that 2 electrodes in 'water' 'makes' 2 gases that we call 'oxygen' and 'hydrogen'.
This 'experiment' we call "Electrolysis".
We can add more electrodes and 'neutral plates' inbetween the 'electrodes' and the RESULTS are NOT 'oxygen' and 'hydrogen'.
https://rumble.com/vhodfb-full-unedited-version-of-oil-from-water..html
The device known as the Aquachifootbath.com will ALSO turn a small % of the water into 'oil' as 'scum' around the bathtub. Some DC power supplies do this more than others. Here is your apparatus to prove this to yourself that water is not H and O and heal yourself at the same time by using the ONLY BIO Electric immune system Booster ever invented.
So electrodes in water CANNOT be considered 'electrolysis' in every case.
Which then casts doubt that the original experiment may not actually be splitting water into 2 'elements'.
It maybe that the Magnetics of Direct Battery Current or DC actually makes 2 gases that are OPPOSITE POLARITY water vapors.
https://rumble.com/vh7v87-im-plosions-and-ex-plosions-demo.html
NO ONE else on the Planet Earth can make water vapor IMPLODE and then Explode or burn with just the reversal of the Position of the ELECTRODES.
"just because you 'believe' 2 electrodes is 'electrolysis' it does not
follow that more electrodes and Neutral Plates is also what your
INDOCTRINATION has lead you to also believe is electrolysis."The fact that this experiment has INDOCTRINATED your BELIEF system by DESIGN to keep you ignorant of real science is what we are discussing. The entire Periodic Table of the Elements is based upon this 'electrolysis' experiment that water is made from 2 elements and that some how 'electrons' can split apart is never really explained.
The FACT that in ANY experiment the experimenter can 'effect' the outcome was William Reichs most famous discovery and he called it the "Y" factor or YOU factor. This is particularly relevant and observable when applying Magnetic Fields in experiments where one makes Water Magnetic with NEUTRAL PLATES and Geometrically and Magnetically aligned Electrodes.
Science has NO PLACE for Magnetics yet everything is Magnetic.
The 'science' one should 'trust' is FAKE AND GAY.
Magnetic Field Science is the ONLY Truth that can set you Free from the enslavement of carbon global warming climate change scams that they VAXXED the world for to reduce human carbon. Carbon, like H and O and every other element is a FREQUENCY of WATER or a Memory of Water.
And with that I have exercised my right of reply.

Hi Chet.
I didn't see anything special about the videos, just a conventional burn of Hydrocarbon or Hydrogen in an unconventional engine design. Could you point out where you thought you saw " flameless reaction " please?
Cheers Grum.
At 4 minute 30 second mark of first vid in your reply above,
Seems a new term being used "FRM"Flameless Reaction - motor?
It is written above few screenshots in vid at that time stamp and spoken by presenter to explain how it works ( no combustion?)
Was very odd to me ,
A phase change would be flameless reaction..?
First time I have ever seen this term used in what appears to be an ICE ( the "C" being very relevant to success ..normally )

Got it.
They're referring to the piston return mechanism. A combination of spring and air that's computer controlled. Where in a normal multi cylinder crankshaft style engine the power stroke of one cylinder would provide the compression of another they're using the rapid expansion to compress the springs to initiate the next compression cycle.
Cheers Grum

Thanks for reply, yes makes sense now ( except others like Aquarius?)
Play ping pong with one center piston ( 1 moving part no springs ,just linear generator to
Manage cycle return ( instead of springs) and generate power .
Respectfully
Chet
PS
For clarity ( mine)
These new design linear generators would be simplest design for water fuel Papp engine
Or any Papp chemistry which could be done by "Fred in the Shed"
Once concept is actually proven ...
