The papers that Julian Perry has released thus far are readily available and free to download.

He intends for the info to be shared freely;

However the documents say "For selected circulation only" so I don't feel at liberty to share them here.

Happy to plug nonetheless;

All you need to do is make an account at https://www.researchgate.net/ and search for his name. They're free to download.

I will still be shooting an email across as I am hoping he may have something to suggest, to improve capture efficiency in my own unit.

I also plan to build the SS version when I am better informed.

All components have been individually yanked & tested one by one ..

No flyback .. Mosfet doesn't seem to be fully de - saturating?

"A redesign will be simple!" I thought.. I was warned of this  ;D
Worked great before I downsized it. I want to use it as a HV source for a Tesla coil.

The core seems to have magnetized (not so pure after all  >:() , and I have changed the 500R and the 100R for 1/4w (100r was 1/2w)

All components have been swapped out for (tested) fresh ones, or tested OK.

Any ideas?

Am I right in saying this will work better than the 2sc5353 for switching?

https://www.cricklewoodelectronics.com/2SC97A.html

2sc has 0.5us - This goes down to 15ns..
Sharper the better right?
(I will upgrade the mosfet too)
