Buy me a cigar
Hi All.
Can anyone identify the component situated right at the front end of this power supply unit please? Bottom RH corner, I thought it might be a Varistor initially but it seems to be in series with the fuse.

It’s a Skynet SNP-900 range. I can’t find a circuit diagram available on the net.

Cheers Graham.

I suspect it is an NTC thermistor used for inrush current limiting.

They come in various cold resistances and temp curves (check out inrush current limiters (ICL) on Digi-Key, etc)

Any numbers visible, or are you dealing with charred remains?
