I submitted a message to Kickstarter, evidently successfully, as follows:

QuoteHi, this is Steven Jones, Emeritus Professor of Physics.
In Physics, it is ethical to honor the request of an discovering scientist -- and not sell his device contrary to his request.

I am writing about an invention called the "Slayer exciter" invented and published by Gary Bluer (forum name "slayer007") in 2010:
http://www.overunity.com/8977/gbluerslayer-exiter/#.USe-U32YNQk
He provides the circuit and videos, with the request that these not be sold without his permission.

Well, you have a project in progress right now in which a fellow is indeed trying to sell this invention -- and I'm informed by Gary Bluer that he has NOT given his permission for these sales!

Indeed, Gary tried to communicate his objections to "Tesla Tronix" and was told to "f**k off".  I believe this inappropriate language does not do justice at all to Gary Bluer and his invention.  It appears that TeslaTronix is attempting to steal Gary Bluer's work, to sell it without permission of the originator.  I find this most unethical.

Therefore, I strongly object to funding of this Kickstarter project:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/398893778/teslatronix-tesla-power-for-the-masses

This project has already started, long ago (2010), by Gary Bluer, and should not qualify for Kickstarter support to "TeslaTronix".  If I am wrong about this, please let me hear your reasoning.

I have published in major scientific journals including Nature and Scientific American.  Unfortunately, I have seen attempts of theft of scientific ideas before and hope this will NOT occur in this instance.

Please write me concerning your decision.

Sincerely,
Steven Jones, Emeritus Professor of Physics

Glad it worked for you. I really do hope they reply - for their own sakes in the longer term.

I hope they reply also, at least to acknowledge receipt of my email.
Nothing yet.

Sohei Thoth emailed me (pleasant guy, been helping him with Tesla tower and SWES builds).
He's had a reply from Kickstarter !

Here's what he sent me:

Kickstarter Support, Feb 28 12:49 (EST):

Hi Sohei,

Thanks for reaching out and bringing our attention to this project. We'll alert our trust and safety team to this project and have them take a look.

Best,
Michael

Sohei Thoth, Feb 28 01:03 (EST):

This Teslatronix is a FRAUD. This is NOT HIS project. This project was created to be FREE. The creator of this project said that no one should SELL this circuit.
How can a great system as yours make such a thing?

DO NOT give this FRAUDER the cash. All we from the Overunity and OpenSource community are amazed by this repugnant frauder.

This TeslaTronix DOES not and SHOULD not receive this cash for something that is NOT HIS.
Please analyze carefully this project.
