As a lifelong collector of electronic components, this video scares me and reveals the depths of my own addiction. Sadly it also reveals what we cannot take with us. This guy spent a lot of time inventorying components, even salvage. I wonder if he ever built anything, operated a component sales shop, or did repairs. Just the inventory and database maintenance can chew up all your free time, and he did it well. Maybe, like me he enjoyed the art of collecting..... but I do also build stuff. My collection of old tube TEK scopes and "boat anchor" test equipment is on a par with his. A few year back a local collector passed and his stuff was sent by the family to the auction house. I was able to purchase a small amount of it, a few cabinets full of semi's and other stuff for a paltry amount. My collection will be properly dispersed to serious OU researchers as I see appropriate.
