Work this one out

[TinMan]

So Poynt shared a video on my latest thread-where i'm at 1+1=3

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4N4TiOHc-g

Seemed like an easy debunk, where a battery, reed switch, and coil were hidden in the base.

next video.

He removes the flipping stator type gizmo, and the wheel slows to a stop.
He then removes the rotor, and shows that there are no belts etc turning the shaft.
Then puts it in an enclosed glass box, to show it is not air.

How was it done?, or does it actually work ?

[poynt99]

My opinion is it actually works. But like the original builder (first video) said, it requires a ton of fine tuning, and it certainly isn't going to drive a load of any sort.

Could it be refined and scaled up to where it could drive a load? Perhaps.

[JimBoot]

I think if you can work out the right "imbalance" most magnetic gates will work in rotation. I have come close with one where I saw it speed up but it was very difficult to tune.

The explanation.

So the laws of physics need re-tuning ?

Or they need a good kick in their "can't"

So in his first attempt to get it running, it would not run.\Notice there is no little extra magnet there on the larger magnets.

In the second video, where it is running, we see the addition of a little magnet.
As I have said, it is a fine balance that needs to be had, in order for there to be a field offset for gain.

My first reaction is that if you put finely balanced lead weights on the wheel, you may get some decent torque out of it. Say 10 kg of lead may allow you to get some energy out to drive a small generator without stopping the machine.
Impressive work, Brad.

Hi Folks,

His (i.e. the replicator) latest video on this setup was in 2021:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhIdMEushgg    And he wrote this text under the video (machine translation from Portuguese to English):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

** Please read the "Full" description below for a better understanding. Thank you! **

1- Is there an air compressor injecting air to make the wheel turn?
2 - If you remove the cylinder head with the small magnet turning lever, does the wheel stop turning?

I want to make it clear that there is no hidden motor, wires or air compressor, but I only achieved this result due to a very small "Extra Energy", but which helps with a small pulse to overcome the exact moment of re-entry of the magnets, giving the necessary impulse to complete the rotation of the wheel.

But I'm studying a modification to this project so that the wheel turns only with the attraction and repulsion of the magnets, or in the last resort, with the energy of the wheel turning itself, making a loop.

We'll have news soon! (All suggestions are welcome).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because this was a "replication",  the question is now: how the original setup shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4N4TiOHc-g  worked....
I know that the original builder gave an explanation here as Brad mentioned above https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHty4r697DI  but nobody has managed to replicate it yet.

Occam's Razor's explanation is that there is a battery and a small electromagnet hidden in the wood block from which the copper wire arm emerges, which makes contact periodically when it comes to a stop at the top, providing the electrical impulse needed to maintain rotation.
