I bought a small Sodium Ion battery some months ago and it is working great as a backup to keep my Maxwelll cap bank (used as for starting large V8 engine) up to voltage when it's not run for a few days.  Never buying lead acid batteries again !

Yes very related and as the article and the video point out Volkswagon will be using them in cars by 2027 I believe.

VW are opening their Giga factory in the Port of Sagunto, Spain at the end/ begining or 2026/2027.
Construction is 80% complete, it has been a speedy build and will supply batteries for the European car industry.



This factory is a 15-20min drive from my house, it has increased house and rental prices around here by 60%.
