Author Topic: what can you do with 120v and 10mA output?  (Read 3823 times)

i managed to turn 11v AC to as much volt as i want ,but the problem is it 2 low current ,
what i did is using 2 coils one as primary and the second as a secondary ,and that will give me about 22v AC ,I = 20 mA / pairs of coils at 34H ,
and if i to keep adding more pairs of coils the out put will go higher , i am at 3 pares now and i am at 73v AC and I = 10mA .
both primary and secondary almost have the same # of turns .i did not count the # turn but i used same wire gauge ,and same spool size.
it is not a step up transformer ,and that is a FACT .
so plz if any if u guys can help me out and tell me what can i do with this output ,i will really appreciate it .
i chould get 200mA ,but with very low V out about 1/2v .
i think i could get about 2v  with I = 150mA ,but that mean i will need to build 120 coils to generate 120V with I = 6A.
that will drive the cost high about 9$/pairs of coils .
i am a truck driver but with good back ground in electronics .
sorry about my weak english. if u live in portalnd OR or vancouver WA ,let me knwo maybe we can team up .

I would like to know how this setup can be stepping the voltage up and it not be a step-up transformer.

As far as assistance goes, we'll need some details of contruction and materials before anyone can help.

First of all thank you for reply .
i attached 4 pics to c my setup ,in the first picture u will c my coils unite and the signal generator unit ,and also u will see the reading for the input on the small multimeter and the out put on the big multimeter,at that moment the 2 coils does act as transformer but if u look at the output reading it is almost  0.5v  .it  kinda like step down transformer cause the input v is 4.3v .
but in the 2nd  pic u will c that the out put is about 24v ,i changed nothing , i just added something to the setup .
then in pic3 i am showing the 2nd pairs of coils, the input connected in parallel and the output in series  but without adding anything to the setup ,and u will c there is almost .5 volt out put.so if that is a transformer then it is only producing 0.3 v output ,while the input is 2.4v so i believe that what u call step down transformer right ??
 but in pic 4 u will c that there is almost 40v output after setup is completed while input is 7.2 .
??? do i think i should generate high voltage like 3kv then step it down will be the best way to go ?

i dont understand what is going on , when i add 26 ohm resistance as a load for the coils ,my setup will stop producing any Voltage ,maybe at the most 1.5V .
 BUT when i added the 36 ohm resistance the voltage start coming back up,the more resistance  as a load i add the more voltage i get ....
the resistance of my of my output coil is 24 ohm .
i know when i add resistance in parallel the resistance will go down  . V=I*R              WHY THE VOLTAGE WILL GO UP WHEN THE RESISTANCE GO DOWN ?i am i missing something ?
can anyone help plz
