Quick note on this project...
The '1776' coil has been joined by a 1000 turn bifilar coil with Bedini SSG type circuit. The idea, is to spin up the sphere with the 1000 turn coil and then let the project coil take over. Being air core will allow that process to be much easier than by having a core.
It will also allow the previous 4000 turn replication coil and the 3500 pre-coil to be tried.

With realising that the aluminium rotor I found tonight would probably be pants for the homopolar idea of Steves..i've decided to use it for this project. The rotor spins very well indeed, taking some seconds to spin down and, when it does, it gently stops, with no jolt.

Also, several better reasons - I see that the crew over at OU have picked up and run with the idea: http://www.overunity.com/12147/this-might-blow-your-mind/75/
There is another schematic within, that makes more sense to me of the wiring diagram.
Wilby has decided to pull the video from YouTube - if it's still there, grab it before it goes if of interest. I downloaded it a while back, so can supply if it has gone. If the project does run, i'll reupload the vid anyway, probably several times !
And, Mr. Romero is on to it too...which, regardless of point of view on his Muller, is no bad thing, in my own opinion :)
Romero recently made mention of the need to use different lengths in bifilar coils. Mainly it was with regard to the speed up under load effects (something i've witnessed myself and its a shocker when it runs right). So, with the idea of differing the lengths of the previously matched wiring in the several coils wound to date for this project, the idea appeals as a solution to the final successful running of it.

I'm up to Page 5 of that 7 page thread at the moment. Just thought i'd give a heads up on their work and recent bifilar coil practice..

Thanks for your work on this and the update, Mark.  And thanks for taking a close look at the homopolar generator + diode + cap.

That thread at ou.com seems to have more than the usual ad hominems...  sigh.  I guess one has to put up with some of that.  I hope Mags can get over his issue... I like Magluvin's contributions!

Questions -- does anyone on that thread claim ou for such a device?
And --  hasn't Mr Romero admitted his self-runner from last year was a fake?

Apparently it's long been thought that homopolar motors can offer OU...the Farady disk being a huge current and small voltage device. Which, seems ideal for everything EXCEPT lighbulbs lol. There seem to be so many systems, like Tesla towers, inverters and JT type blockers that can output mains voltage for bulbs, but not a lot where it's the other way around.
So, i'll certainly be looking at homopolars with a keener eye !

Seems that OU forum and OUR forum have similar modes of running...present a topic, fall out about about unrelated matters and along the way produce nuggets of gold.
I think if it spins up and stays spun up then it has to be OU...though what we may do with the LED output instead of being an LED is where fun would really start. From what i've seen of the strength of LED illumination at realistic operating distances, it's approx a maximum of 2V, with 20% 'on' time per second. Not blazing bright and solid, unless the assembly sits right next to a fast spinning strong neo rotor. But - if it's there and always there then that's great !

I have a different interpretation to most about Romero's epic fail of a device.
If you look through his work prior to the Muller, he was an avid researcher and builder. The coil shorting findings were genuine and applicable to many motors afterward. His builds were always of the same type and methods that could distinguish them as his. Even the backyard table, meter types etc.
Then, the Muller came along and he, I believe, merely presented a success. He quite probably expected more to follow, from others at a similar point in the developments. EVERYBODY missed the point about the CRT monitor neck multistrand wire !!! Personally, i've proven in videos how that stuff, when wound as he wound his Muller coils, is a shocker for performance. Massive speed ups when shorted, white flashes from neon bulbs, crazy top end rotor speeds and more.
Things flared with accusations (by the ad hominems), he went quiet. He said about his young family and that there were peculiar requests about seeing the device in person. It was then removed from his possession. All of that I fully accept as a possibility in this present corporation, not cooperation world.
Then, we see the short admission of fakery - note the writing style, the shortening of any explanations, the change of grammar.
He subscribed to my channel on YouTube just after that admission, yet I have no idea if it is him or whom I also suspect posted AS Romero..If nothing else, a script was given to adhere by.
Then, he stayed quiet for some months.
Now, he's coming forward again and has the same writing grammar as of old. When reading his latest posts, he says that suppression must stop. However, if he is successful with this device in question, won't be showing a running video.
The lad has grown from his experience and is almost goading a fighting challenge !
My opinion, is that the Romero Muller did run.

Thanks for your views on this, Mark -- I hadn't thought of that (someone posting in his name...)  -- it is possible.
I've certainly seen suppression of truth for the sake of corporate profits.
"Of the corporations, for the corporations, by the corporations"...  they say these days...  sigh.
