Hero Member Posts: 532	Hi I need advice from electronic guru. I have done symmetrical powerr supply for my sinewave generator needed to test TPU kind device. I dislike however the idea of stepping down from 230V from power grid to -15V 0V +15V. Is that possible to get the voltages from single power supply for example -6V 0V +6V from single car battery ?

It's not as complicated as it may seem...

You can use the trick of creating an "artificial ground" at the +6V level, then run your circuit on pseudo +/- 6V.

Keep in mind that you are reducing the supply voltage quite a bit, and some of your IC's may not function properly.
