GDS 3 KW generator runs on water

[TinMan]

99,

I said clearly in my posts that "if it is not a fake", so I'm guessing how a generator system must be designed if I wanted to buil it.

GL.

Problem is GL,there are that many fakes these day's that the real deal could just pass us on bye,and we'd be none the wiser.

[poynt99]

Unfortunately, these nut cases are at the other end of the country, so it would cost a fortune to have it shipped. Why is it these guys all come from the east? (Canada that is)

I guess I could always fly there and ask for a 4 day demo.

I wonder how long a 1kW (110VAC) load could be run from 2 100Ahr batteries?

[poynt99]

My estimate is about 3 hours.

So with a 1000W load, it would only take about 4 hours to determine if the unit was real or not. Agreed?

I would say a little less,as the 3000 watt inverters draw around 2 amps on standby. Also they would cut out when the batteries hit around 12.5 volt's-- well mine do anyway. 4 hours would be a good run indeed,as there is also that electric motor thats driving that what ever it is,useing up some power as well.

[TinMan]

If this unit was for real, then the ramifications would reach far greater than just a generator that runs on water. This would have to be an over Faraday HHO system, and we know what that means

[Chet K]

Well
I know its Sunday [here] they are not answering the phone,

but they don't yet have a phone answering setup.

will report tomorrow what they have to say.[if they answer the phone]

thx

The "fan looking" unit mounted on the water tank is probably a PMA.

Good find GL

That's one hell of a PMA "4kw @ 240v"

Well I got part of it right

Now have to find that pressure pump "the silver looking item", it is the type they use in a karcher pressure system, they are quite small for the pressure they give, I'm sure it would drive that PMA @ 240v 4kw

Centraflow,

I'm looking for the water pressure pump right now, no luck so far finding it.

I think the pressure pump is mounted onto the tank also. Look at the left
side of the img01.jpg that I did post. The pump can also be the silver
color unit at the left (bottom) in the image "img03.jpg".

GL.

[Centraflow]

Guy's, what is wrong here as far as pressure/rpm of generator with an output 240v 4kw, in relation to a pressure pump running off 12v (60w) creating 6Lpm @ 120psi which is more than enough to drive the generator? that would mean we have OU

Now I am really stumped

regards

Mike

PS check the figures yourself

[Centraflow]

GL it's the silver thing with a square box on the outer end (that's the pump), well I think it is!!

Mike,

Can't find it on the net, but still searching.............

GL.

[Grumage]

Dear All.

Is this GL's Pelton wheel ?

Perhaps the reason behind it's water consumption is the simple fact that it leaks a little during operation ?

Cheers Grum.

Another unused component just to make it look good?

btw, add maybe another; in front of the belt and near the tank is another motor.

Agreed, preferably with video taping constantly being taken for 4 hours or so... e.g., overlapping camcorders (at least two).  Good test.  Live feed would be awesome!

Sterling has a page on this at PESN, and I understand he is planning a trip up there...

[PhysicsProf]

PS -- Tinman is right = let's just buy one, test it, return for refund if we don't like it.

I mean, a guy could fly up there, test it in his motel room?
Toronto, right?  is there a street address?

I think I can spring for $3K right now... for the gds 3000, yes.  Proof of principle is what I seek (first).
Been saving sheckels.
Chet keep that in mind.

PS - lotsa fun if it works, but hey, why not take the trip?

PS2 - Sterling's PESN article is likely to generate a LOT of calls to gds this coming few days...

Pure Energy Systems News
October 26, 2014

Wow, it looks like the day has finally come that we get to make the big announcement that one of the exotic free energy generators has made it to market. Patrick Flanagan, who just purchased a 5kW system, brought this one to our attention.
GDS Technologies LTD, out of Ontario, Canada, has a water-powered, portable genset available for sale on their website, in output sizes of 5 kW, 10 kW and 15 kW, at a price of around $1000/kW. They say they can also custom build these in sizes up to 50 kW. It is controlled by a simple on/off switch.
It is much less than half as loud as a gasoline or diesel genset of the same power output. One tank of water (e.g. 4 gallons for the 5 kW) will run the device for three days; or you can hook a hose up to it (there is a check valve), and not worry about refilling the tank. It emits no pollution, no fumes, so it can be run indoors.
They will ship globally. The 15-day money-back guarantee doesn't include duties and shipping fees. "Please allow up to 14 business days," for shipping probably refers to Canadian orders. International probably takes more.

Let them know PES referred you, for a likely discount and commission for PES. (We've requested this relationship and are waiting to hear back. Wouldn't hurt to mention it.)
Their Alibaba listing for their GDS 3000 system says they have 400 in stock.

Actually, I'm surprised we've not heard of them before now. Their YouTube video has been up since September 7, with over 2000 visits, and their Facebook page was first populated with news about this on August 24.
They list their devices as suitable for applications such as emergency back-up power, camping, motor homes, construction sites; so I presume they haven't gone through UL or CE hoops yet to allow home power generation without jeopardizing home warranties, etc. In one of our Facebook comments, Kenneth Segovia says: "Can you imagine putting something like this in the Tesla car?"

It seems they've been very conscientious in their design, putting in safety features (circuit breakers and emergency stop button), redundancy (e.g. 2 batteries instead of one, to start it up).
Maintenance involves draining the water tank and spraying it with a garden hose every 3 months. The water needs to be clean that it runs on, and not salt water.

As for running it, they say: "When you receive your new portable water generator just add 4 gallons of normal water in the tank and turn the red toggle switch to on position (emergency safety) that will start the battery and pump and turbine all at once. That easy. All units have been tested before leaving our facility. Instruction and warranty manuals will be supplied with every unit sold."

If you are thinking of powering your house with one of these, you need to realize that it is not yet UL / CE certified, so you could be voiding your home warranty. For emergency back-up, you'll want to make sure that you have a toggle switch to shut off from the grid completely when running the power from the genset into your service panel. If you're doing only small loads, you could plug your genset into a wall plug, through a male-male connector, which will power up one of the two legs of the service panel; then run an extension cord to another wall power plug from the other leg of the service panel, and the entire panel will be powered. Again, make sure you're disconnected from the grid if you do this so you don't jeopardize any linemen. Bear in mind that the wires going to that wall plug are 12 or 14 gauge, and limited to maybe 15 amps, so you'll not want to surpass that in the load you draw elsewhere in the house, or you'll trip the circuit breaker. You could double this limit by plugging into two separate circuits through the wall plugs, such as from two different rooms -- ditto for the other leg of the service panel.
After we get some kind of validation that this is for real, we'll be bumping it to #1 in our Top 5 listing.

Is it really possable that this had some Merritt
I see no way this could ever work,or are we being too quick to dismiss the all so simple

It would seem poynt that only one battery is hooked to the inverter. The battery on the right that has a thin white wire that dose a loop around that white block looking thing, seems to end up at what we think are the two load resistor's. The other thing we think is another inverter(the blue one)that has 2000 0n it,could infact be a 2000 watt charge controller
But defiantly only one battery used on the inverter.

[poynt99]

The proposed test would still be valid.

Trust Sterling.
The blokes worse than a ruddy seagull. Anything he thinks will make him a buck he onto like lightning.

[Chet K]

I suppose we'll see if they have any ready for sale and when we can see them?
Not really that far away from them myself.[8hr drive]

Will report back tomorrow.
thx

I would not trust anything Stirling is claiming.....He is no different then a con man...

Tommey
seems this works Alah James Hardy's water pump tech, at least that is the only apparent MO of the Device up to this point .

I know you have been playing with the same tech recently.

We shall see ?

thx
