I would like to see a hybrid plane get off the ground

I am pretty convinced that Calcium metal has a future as being a reusable fuel, burn Calcium in air and you get calcium Nitride and Calcium Oxide, but burn that in a chamber full of air, you would in effect consume 86% volume(Nitrogen+Oxygen) thus create a vacuum, better still you can get it to liberate hydrogen at will, and it's a light very common element, plus calcium oxide one of the waste products can be used for construction and calcium nitride is a very valuable resource and can be use as a fertilizer or be used to further produce ammonia.

I am also wondering if it could be used in place of Lithium to form a new type of calcium based rechargeable battery.

Jimson weed grows wild in my yard. Rabbits eat it when nothing else is available. Harvester ants take away the seeds. I read that early settlers ate it like cooked greens and then tripped for 8 days, very pleasant laughing and giggling with no memory of it.

few ideas come to mind:

1) the particles slow down because of gravitational pull, and eventually stop and fall back.

2) since Voyager2 is seeing the winds and traveling in the other direction opposite Voyager1, this means that perhaps the "winds" are indicative of the drift of our solar system through the universe, so they show a type of "doppler" phenomena.

3) Come on, who are they kidding. There are no winds in space, even I know that!

I've only loosely followed this whole thing since Snowden leaked it out originally. I haven't heard "why" they are spying on all of this email and internet traffic.

This is a very large undertaking. I can't see that middle eastern terrorism warrants something of this magnitude. Next will be stories of three precognitive girls in a tank somewhere, predicting crimes before they happen (Movie: Minority Report)

The Federal Reserve is still buying bonds through it's "easing" plan, and housing prices are soaring again, but gas is down - as winter starts.

Any good theories on what is really going on in the world?

It would appear they are building a database of every person on this planet, our 10 yearly census was farmed out to American defense subcontractor at 10 times the cost of the previous one.

That means they now know everything about everyone who's legal in the UK, i guess even illegals will be on some database somewhere, most death records in developed countries are digital, so you only need to appear on any 1 database they have access to over the persons life and they can notch a data record and know if they are still alive.
Once every person has a data record they can start filling in personal details, medical history, thumb prints, DNA, skills, age, how old and who your relations are, once you have this information then you would ideally have a system in place to track them, i mean who doesn't have a mobile phone these day's.

Once you get close to that scenario the people in control become gods.

Question is why.
