There's a few loose ends to tie up, consistent starting actuator, accelerometer and a suitable platform to conduct the experiment.

Yes mate, had a lot going on lately and thanks for the refresher, I remember.

It is an interesting experiment, certainly original, and has a group participation rate that is an indicator in and of itself.

The camera was on low battery, sorry for the rushed recording.
Output of the 555 timer section is from a pin on the Arduino, which will be a post to clip to on the built unit.

When made, it will 'ship' with running code, plug in and play. Updates to the code will be as and when time permits to make it a multi-use device in the future (different sensors, range finding, temperature/humidity, multimeter type uses). Hence the talk of downloading software...only needed for future updates.
