Quanta Magnetics shows an apparent self-runner in a vid of 8 Feb 2013:

For sale, I understand.
My main question at the moment (besides the need for independent verification) -- is What is the initial Energy stored in those capacitors?
Also, what is the current drawn from the 9V battery bank for start-up?

Certainly looks impressive...  Comments?

Hi Steven

Funny I was just watching that. Those caps are mallory super caps, and looking at the physical size they are big on energy and a lot of them! would run the machine with no problem for a long time on that current draw, not to say they are. If it is doing what he says then there must be an over voltage regulator of some sort, also feeding back is not that simple, you can't plug the back end into the front end, you have to make sure they don't see one another, so to say. That comment is from experiency on STEAP, I had to charge two batteries in series and run off the front battery of the two "running off 12v and charging 24v". Direct to the run battery and it just dies as normal when the battery runs down even with a high voltage going in, I think it was to do with battery chemistry again. Sorry went off subject a bit as he is using caps.

My 2 cents worth

Thanks for the comments, Mike.  A friend, Les Kraut, says they are 300F caps -- so the bank of caps has a LOT of energy storage potential.

As always, an independent test is needed -- including zeroing out the caps to begin with, or at least measuring the initial energy they store (1/2Cv^2).

I understand from Les that Be-dini has a kit for his bicycle wheel Be-dinin motor-generator -- and that it is sold out.  Again, I wonder if anyone will do the independent testing and publish results.

The kit appears to sell for $2,500 and 3-week delivery time:

hmmmm...  sure would like to see some independent test data...

Found an earlier QM device for sale now on ebay at < $400:

Its a very nice setup.

The caps are probably not all in parallel. Usually these are not very high voltage. 2-3v. The 7 9v bats is 63v. Then he also is running a 120v light bulb.  Not saying for sure that the caps are loading to these voltages.

So if they are in series, some or all, 2x300f= 150f, and so on. They also have fairly high resistance value, which would increase if some or all are in series. Unless he spills the beans a bit, all will be a mystery

Cant really tell what all is going on in there. All those red wires, looking like they go to a pin block for connections. Definitely no one is going to figure out that mess as to how things are hooked up. Real nice build though.

It is a nice build, I'm probably the last person anyone should ask for advice about this machine because they are using standard components and I could throw this thing together for around $200-300 in a few days or so. On the other hand if someone wanted to call this an experimental scientific instrument then they could probably charge $10,000,lol.
My guess would be that as a limited company they always have deniability on their side and as no such if no claims of OU were made by the company then the customer is simply paying for a very expensive pulse motor. Whatever turns their crank I guess.

He word's himself very carefuly, not makeing reference to overunity-but a self charging unit.
! BUT ! only on cap bank 3.
So from this we can guess that cap bank 1&2 are running the machine.
The light globe may be 25 watts, but i would guess that it is one of those 12 volt job's-or maybe 24 volt's.
As the motor he is running from cap bank 1&2?-is 24 volt's,then the above make's sence.
With that many super caps, you could run that system for quite some time.

Like UFO polotic's-no real measurments will be made or shown.
Even a simple volt meter on the cap's would give it away in this case.

It's realy just a very preaty pulse motor.

I think so, too.  If he would allow REAL and independent measurements, those things would sell like hot-cakes.
As it is, IMHO just for "experimenters" or the gullible.

The vids of the Stargate motor were very professional and this design really looks the part of the table top generator that many of us have been sort of expecting. We thought the Muller may be it (and in my opinion could well still be), this one has that box of spinny motor goodness to fit the image.
Those caps are horrific, not just a bank of power, but a bank loan of power too.
Does it work ? wait for the warranty details  ???

My opinion follows those above. Bank 3 is indeed being charged, in common with any Adam's type motor output. Banks 1+2 run the show.
If such a motor is set up properly with the magnets offering very little drag, about 400mA would be normal, but always needed.
As Mike said, you can't just loop the thing back on itself. There has to be a gap, a missing return pathway and transmitted/collected energies have to form the non wire link. Be that via electrostatics, or solution electrolyte or another means. Otherwise we have the overjoyed types proclaiming the saving of humanity and, slowly their power source damages itself into forgotten history.
Lovely looking thing, I hope it works but we must look at that history.

As for Mr. Bearded knee and his bike wheel, it would be fine in the 1970's but surely a more modern 3 spoke carbon fiber type wheel would aid the design aesthetically.  Then he stuck a whole house fan on the end  C.C
OK, it's just like the Patent, but this is 2013.

The stargate motor has potential, he has saturated the core with external magnets, this could allow for a reverse lenz effect so I understand (Eric Dollard) but still not enough to bring the motor to 100% efficient. The generator I have seen him use also has high efficiency. The caps give a 50% loss so his gains are lost in the caps. He would need to drive loads directly or charge batteries for better efficiency. Better still drive the motor side of the circuit directly from the generator.

The device in the video is different in that it has two generators one wired as the motor and the other as a generator I don't see any extra core saturation and it is an open magnetic circuit. I have seen these types of generators produce anomalous results.

Saturating the core is part of the lockridge too but this is done with coils, this way we can also recover energy from the coil saturation coil. The motor, generator and transformer of the lockridge has only one core so only one iron loss hence better efficiency.

His device does not have the transformer and has separate cores for the motor and generator. I think it is very interesting but probably not a self runner but it could be close.
