The "Trollers" such a Quarktoo are really quite brilliant and possess
considerable manipulative skill. Unfortunately, they've become
addicted to the "high" of intensely emotional exchange which results
from their "baiting" techniques.

To the "Trollers" it is just a game. Their delight derives from stepping
on people.

.99 has done us a great favor by "nipping it in the bud" while at the
same time providing an object lesson in how to "spot" the "actors."

As for Replies #'s 28 & 29,

I've noticed not everyone agrees with .99's decision, but I sure do. Dumps and .99 have it right.

.99 is running this show, and so far, he seems to me to be fair enough in his dealings with others that I've read.

So, he gets to call the shots, since he's the Pied Piper to be paid on this board. Trolls can find that out the hard way.

Does anyone think this is valid?

I absolutely hope not! What's to keep them from standing in judgment on anyone who disagrees with them? Oh, and if "IBM" is somehow responsible for part of this trolling problem, who can deal with their software engineers---who are probably familiar with software viruses?

Obviously he was an emotionally immature individual with too much time on his hands.

His blogspot is proof of this. He made no contribution to this forum and disrespected many here. I applaud his removal.

I left the other forums because they are Moonies. I already Love/Hate Humbugger because he comes across as "edicated" I won't be going to any more bedini fests although I would hope to see a unified Overunity type conference open to all comers.

I will say the Nattering Nabob factor here is quite large.

I propose that this group comes up with a Unified Overunity Qualifying Test that would be a Benchmark for all and we would know when someone has achieved Nirvana or what ever it take to get to the store free to buy a lollypop. Especially a UBOT-- unified bedini output test.

Let's get in to the Lab and see what's on the Slab!

It's "EJAMAKATED", silly! All my ejamakayshun comes from hands on bench work, by the way. On actual products that were built and mass-produced and sold at a profit because they actually performed as advertised. None were OU devices, sad to say.

As far as being a born leader, I had a boss tell me that once. He was an engineering department Director and I was a manager under him. I say we put up a 'Ban' button for everyone to press and see who's left. Then the admin deletes the last guy and brings back all the banned users. And we start over. Then we bring back all the deleted users at then end after deleting 'The Last Banned User'. Sounds pretty democrapic to me.

Or better yet. Assign a timeout to a thread of limited value which delete posts or threads deemed unusable. Like a Sunami up the back side.

I guess the kiddies had a good time with the troll thing. Just goes to show how dangerous the after effects of what too many Cokes and Twinkies can do.

I'm telling the readers of my two main threads on OU.com of my decision to walk away because these to insulting individuals remain 'UNbanned'.

hartiberlin(Stefan), the head Moderator at OU.com, is responsible for keeping the peace on his board---and I don't like what I see there.

I keep tabs on the Energetic Forum (Renewable Energy) to
follow developments in several key threads. It is good
to see how the "noobs" interact and encourage each other
with their projects. It is also good to see evidence of growth
in technical proficiency and understanding. Sure, there is a
lot of confusion going around and a lot of fallacious thinking,
but all in all positive trends.

For the most part.

Then every now and again Aaron seems to come unglued.
His recent musings on the Water Spark Plug and Water Spark
Plug 2 seem a bit over-dramatic. His threats against one
notorious member "Crackahcrackah" who dared to open
accounts in other 'names' in response to banning is classic.

Plus, threatening to ban "Firangi" for comments which "add
nothing to this situation" is hard to figure. Is it that time of the
month?

Seems Aaron is easily provoked into his "high and mighty"
mode where he threatens "bannings" to those who are
insufficiently sycophantic, or whatever, ad nauseum.

Those who've spent time in the military may recall a riddle.

Question: "What's the difference between the Army (or Service
of choice) and the Boy Scouts?"

Answer: "The Boy Scouts have Adult Leadership."

So, what's the difference between Energetic Forum and the Boy Scouts?

What's happening on the "Bedini Ferris Wheel Regauging Motor" discussion
is somewhat troubling. The prices hopeful "builders" must shell out to
obtain the required wire lengths or coils is rather appalling.

Oh well, the price of learning "wisdom" has always been high...

Let us hope the migration to this forum and the few others which are
much more in alignment with "truth" gains momentum.

Dumped, I also poke my nose in over there from time to time, mainly to see if the 'high and mighty' claims of one or two members who state they know-it-all ever come to fruition. Of course, so far, diddly-squat.

Not only do I think Aaron is a complete and utter, self-important dickhead, but I also think he's currently showing his true colours. Whatever else happens, whatever people say, whether they be right or wrong or simply expressing an opinion, Aaron gets on his high horse and always has the final word. Then he starts banning people and locking threads. Nobody knows more - or better - than Aaron, he is the be-all and end-all, and if he sees anyone as a threat to his greatness and superiority, they have to go! Like many political leaders, the power goes to his head and leaves no room for common sense or rational thinking. I believe it's called a god complex.

I also think that he, and the likes of Lindemann, take advantage of the uneducated by implying they know far more than they really do and then promoting their version of science by way of books for sale on his forum. How can his forum be open-source if he likes to keep things back for his books? Surely this is a conflict of interests. I find the guy quite despicable and truly believe him to be a charlatan of the first order. To my mind he's simply out to line his pockets, profiting from the gullible, while gaining some celebrity in the process. A prize jerk and an utter disgrace!

Glad I got that off my chest!
