This thread is focused on the duplication of the stun gun circuit to achieve electrostatic discharge.
The circuits in this thread are chosen as an alternative to bulky transformers, I.E. MOTs, Iggys, Pulse xfrmrs or the exacting demands of a Tesla coil. Have tested with those and these can be a fall back.

An electric arc is the form of electric discharge with the highest current density. The maximum current through an arc is limited only by the external circuit, not by the arc itself. The voltage across an arc decreases as the current increases, giving it a dynamic negative resistance characteristic. Where a sustained arc is required, this characteristic requires some external circuit element to stabilize current, which would otherwise increase bounded only by the supply limit

I could just recycle my stun gun products but I wanted to achieve reproduction of the constant discharge of the spark gap.
I am avoiding using a pulse transformer as the last stage. The small audio transformer as the the first coupling stage is acceptable due to its size and most other circuits I have seen use this. It affords a good start to a small footprint..

I have been able to cause internal arcing in a final stage transformer but cannot get the gap to arc. I use a CFL start neon as a test gap to see the voltage qualifications are met. This alleviates using good test equipment as HV susceptible loads.
I have since replaced the final stage xfrmr with a CW-Villard multiplier but still no discharge arc. Have even added another xfrmr in series in the 1st stage.
I am currently using a TIP41 as the 1st stage xfrmr drive. Am switching to IRF840. Speed increases the size of the BEMF.

Battery charging off of BEMF. Same process as lighting a filament or neon bulb reactively. Juan Bedeeny motor. Testatika. The list goes on.

The BEMF is an electrostatic discharge. The collapse is natural and rebalancing is quick. The simplest is the Cockcroft-Walton, Villard Multiplier. Just another circuit attaining the same end. One can pump iron or air. The only differentiation in the circuit is what ones starting bias/viewpoint/experience is.
All attempts are merely routing the BEMF into a load. Configure the conductors in certain combinations to manipulate the voltage or current. Just depends on the load to drive.
Maintain circuit ringing for voltage or dampen for current.
