Bumped into this video today:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIvZJ9xGutI

And by the voice and delivery, there is only one person I can think of:  TinselKoala

Anyone disagree?

Don't answer that.

What I'm curious is, if I'm not witnessing a perpetual motion machine, what exactly am I looking at?

Maybe a slight of hand debunker doing a replication, I wonder why he took the original down, maybe you can answer that TK!

I have seen the likes before, can't remember where though, I've always thought the concept of perfect sinc/resonance to be a possible winner, never tried this though, nice vid and a pity TK took it down.

Just shows how you can't eradicate all that is put on the net ;)

Maybe just a pulse motor with all the circuitry under the rotor, and the small spinney magnets are just for show?

If it relied on those small outer spinning magnets to create the motoring effect, then why dose it keep going when the small magnets are stopped from rotating?.

I can't really discuss it right now. I've just learned that a good friend has died, somehow. And it's someone I knew under at least two different names or aliases on the forums and by email, that I didn't know were connected, so it's almost like losing two... or maybe even three... good friends all at once. I'm rather in shock and I can't do anything, since I don't even know his family, just his email address which is useless now. I don't even know how to get more information. He sent me some parts and a meter just a couple of weeks ago.

It's not as complicated as it may seem...
Yes, hard to believe.

I'm very sad and shocked. I've sent someone an email asking for any info they may have. I'll post it here if permitted.

TK, what were his aliases you knew him as?

MarkE, Mark Euthanasius, and his real name which I am not going to reveal. I didn't know until now that the "Mark" names were aliases of the real name. And one more forum alias which I'm not sure of so I don't want to name it.

It's turtles all the way down
I am deeply saddened by the loss of MarkE . I often wondered how he had the patience to teach the art so eloquently in the face of so many(uninitiated) that were quick to sling mud at him. (I PM''d him this question many times.) Here is one of his honest and witty replies:

Quote
Vortex1 thanks for the kind words.  Sometimes I wonder myself.  Some of it is just practice.  I think it is a useful skill to learn how to remain calm even under persistent personal attack.  Part of it is the guilty pleasure of making life a little bit harder for carnival barkers.  Oh and then there is that eight figure paycheck for suppressing the world's most revolutionary energy concepts...

He was definitely one of the smartest, kindest teachers on the forums, and I enjoyed the many PM exchanges with him as well as exchanges on the forums. I hold him in the highest esteem....he knew his stuff, was willing to teach it expertly and patiently to even an unwilling student,  and will be very deeply missed.  :'(

Aye, he will indeed!  It is a very sad time when our
Forum Friends succumb to the curse of death.
Even though death itself is only temporary, it is
never-the-less natural to experience the emotions
of loss, of grief, of sorrow and sadness.

The Book tells us that all will be raised from the dead to
live again;  that our future life will be endless if we
sincerely adopt the behaviors of true love, compassion,
kindness, empathy and the desire to care for all others.

We often seem to wonder why the good tend to die
young?  Why are we here in this World which has taken
on the characteristics that many refer to as "Hell on Earth?"

One day we shall know the answers.

TK I was chatting with Dansie last night. He may have those details.
Very sad times indeed. In my day job all that ppl do is promote themselves and you know what's going on their lives. Sadly in this endeavour we rarely meet one another let alone get to find out who we are. I suspect if we did there would be a lot less name calling. Mark taught me a lot and I miss him.

Yes, I've been in email contact with Mark Dansie too. As far as I am aware, he doesn't know the cause of death either. That may change, I hope it does.
As to the third alias on the other forum I talked about, that's still a mystery too. But as time goes on I am more and more convinced that that one was also MarkE posting with another alias.
So boom, just like that, three friends and mentors gone, that I thought were different people but actually turned out to be the same one.
