"Simplest engineering solution"?

I'll take a stab at it.

The sleeve around the ball shaft is rotating and driven by a motor hidden in the base.
I noticed the ball is certainly not solid iron because of the ease of handling and the apparent light weight. This is probably why you only apply the magnet to one spot to demonstrate that the ball is magnetic.

Also, the ball rests on what appears to be an O-ring vs. a bearing.

I'm probably wrong.

It would be nice if you would elaborate a bit more on your projects.

Never the less, I enjoy them  O0

Hi, I can say definitely, no motor inside the ball and in the base

Can you elaborate more on your projects? I'd love to see more about the Bessler wheel in particular.

Valeriy,

My guesses about your work seem to always be wrong.

That being said, my next guess is that your day job is being a politician  ;D

I'll take that guess back. It may be considered derogatory in any culture. It wasn't meant that way.  :(

What I would like to know...

Has there been any instance where a viewer has replicated one of your projects and made it run, as you have demonstrated, without using a conventionally accepted source of energy? Air flow - motors, pumps ...

Not just gravity or gravity plus magnetic force or electric charge ??

No.

In my culture politicians are well known for stating the obvious and avoiding discussion of facts not seen by others to be obvious. In short.... when asked a question they generally provide questions as answers or their answers aren't related to the question.

The lack of theatrical embellishment is disappointing -- some small entertainment component would certainly improve this trick.

Here's an idea for free ... scale it up so the central sphere is 1m diameter and made of glass and eliminate the central support-- put a pretty assistant inside and it may just have the makings of an entertaining trick./...

Hahaha.

What a nice trick. I guess the workings are as follows.

1) The center shaft is in two parts. The lower shaft is wider and contains the thinner shaft with the o-ring there to both hide this fact and also to act as a friction point to turn the center ball.

2) When the center shaft turns, it turns the center ball and when the left/right disks are proper placed at the good angle they start turning.

3) When he puts the disks at horizontal this lifts up the ball ever so slightly but enough to take the weight of the center ball off the o-ring and the system stops turning.

4) You can see that there is good enough torque available on the turning mechanism because as they turn the two disks are slightly wobbling left to right.

5) @Valeriy is correct. No motor in the base and in the ball but that does not mean no motor in the shaft or under the table. hehehe hahaha hohoho

6) While he moved the disks to position them, you can see the white base moves enough to let the viewer think there could be nothing below the ball shaft but if the table under the base had a wider hole to accommodate such free movement, he could still have his turning mechanism under the table and have it foot switch operated.

7) Also, you have to look at what is not shown because of the inherent limitations hidden tactics will have on the overall look.

a) There is no discerning mark on the top of the center shaft to show if it is turning or not. If it was not turning, then the inventor would want to show that by making a visible mark on the top of the shaft to show it is Not Turning. But if the shaft was turning and the inventor wanted to keep that as inconspicuous as possible, of course the top shaft would be as unmarked as possible.
b) No shot under the table.
c) The center shaft was never removed from the base.

Moral: You can tell the truth without telling the truth.

So what's the big deal.

There are a couple of ways to perform the trick.

1. Twisting the outer disks lifts the ball just enough to remove the friction it has with the grommet. Then the polyphase motor shell (with the rotor, ends removed and under the table) rotates the ball the same way Tesla rotated his brass egg.
2. Each of the outer disks contain a simple battery, switcher and coils to cause eddy currents in the ball. In this case the motor is the ball and both outer disks. I say 'both' because each rest on a bearing creating almost no friction with the associated shaft. All three pieces must be in contact to make rotation possible.

I think the object is to make people think. Part of that process is to eliminate the impossible then work out the possible. (and spend less time on mindless video/computer games  O0 ).

I recall experiments, looking similar to this, which were used to demonstrate Coriolis force.
One of which worked (zero friction system) and would only turn one direction. I was more interested in the zero friction part ( Passive magnetic bearings in a hard vacuum with the rotating part).

As far as "Simplest engineering solution".... this would indicate inclined planes or levers.

Hahaha.

Dear wattsup, your guess is completely wrong. But I'm wondering why members of "Bessler Wheel" are looking for tricks instead of protecting every overunity idea?

No truth without a lie.

@Valeriy

Hehehe.

Thanks for your reply. I was not actually hoping to be right but just wanted to cover enough possibilities of how your trick works.

Beyond this point, there is no point in trying to figure out how you did it.

We are always curious about devices and gadgets of perpetual creed.

The main point we can all "probably" agree on is that the disks and ball are not rotating on their own regardless of any exotic angle of the disks. It is obvious from the swaying of the disks and ball while turning that another energy force is at play. How it is done is of course a curiosity.

Thanks for the brain teaser.

Just to point out what I really like is that you are not claiming anything, not asking for money or trying to sell your idea for a billion dollars. That for me means "this guy has class".

wattsup

PS: So tell us how you did it already.

Never. A year ago I have posted two videos "behind the scenes" and made them hidden after awhile. People don't like a debunked magicians.
They said: it's so simple, mysteries are more attractive
But curious ones can find my mission statement in here http://veproject1.blogspot.ca/

Thanks for your reply

Answer honestly. Are these demonstrations real or did you fake some of them? If you did, which ones? They look cool, it'd be nice if you explained some of the principles more.
