Buy me some coffee
I thought i would share a recent experience which amazed me.

I closed down my shop and needed to take the phone number with me to stop the new people getting my business, problem was that i lived too far from the shop for BT to port it, so i started looking at porting the UK number to voip, and i have to say i am amazed how well it works.

I opened a free account at voice host https://www.voicehost.co.uk/

Looks like you can open an account most parts of the world, they give you a free number but you can buy a number from most parts of the world at a price, i could buy a London number or a USA number.

I then bought a pap2 box which connects to your ethernet port and has the ability to run 2 analogue phones, as i already had a wireless phone and answer system i used that.

Once configured it's as if it's exactly the same as it was before the port except caller number works for free and also i can ring most parts of the world for only 1.5p-3.5p/Min

Anyone else with a voice host account can ring another voice host account holder free.  O0

To be honest i am amazed at how well it works so far  :)
