Iv been giving the whole transistors thing a lot of thought and here is what i have so far..
Switching speed between transistors and tubes - with a properly designed system this is not a huge deal
Noise between transistors and tubes - this can go either way depending on what you are ding but in general tubes are better at sine waves.
Amplifiers ( as a complete system ) between transistors and tubes - Huge difference if you are considering the input to output phase angle and noise
The time it takes a signal to pass through a transistor amplifier ( 1995 pre amp / amp ) is magnatudes longer than it takes for a tube ( pre amp / amp )
So... if your system was a feedback system and relied on exact phase angle between input and output.. to say hit a natural RF then tubes win hands down.
