As a long time computer tech I've got a finely tuned Windows computer.  But today after being on multiple web sites with no problem my computer crashed with the BSOD - blue screen of death two times in a row as soon as I opened this web site.   Reboot - reconnect to overunityresearch.com and boom the BSOD.

No other web sites were causing this problem.   I had to go to TOR to get on here without it crashing.  Anyone else having this problem?  This did happen while using a VPN but other web sites were fine on the VPN.

Has something changed with the SMF forum software?

Sounds a bit strange, the web browser has to render the code and surely if there was a serious code problem it would be in the browser, when did you log in OK previously?

Peterae,   thanks for the quick reply.   I was last on here on October 25th.   I had used that VPN and browser here many times without trouble.   It may be possible that a browser update recently combined with the VPN is causing the problem.   I use a rather uncommon browser.   I'll try the VPN with some other browsers but this site was the only one where the BSOD was happening.   I'll update if I find more info.   Thanks again. Yep, VPN plus different browser and there is NO BSOD.   I'll contact the browser programmers about it.

Nice one, doesn't make sense for a website to crash the pc, but the browser software does ;)
