what is the arrangement of the armature?
In Chief's motor, a pair of stator coils consists of 2 coils diametrically opposite coils connected in series.  Uniformly RMF occurs when perpendicular pairs of coils are driven with sinusoidal currents 90° or 270° out of phase.

Didnt you say to me that i was projecting experiences with motors into a device which is not a motor??  are you now doing the same??
Yes, because that is the only way I can find some common language with you.
You seem unable to conceptualize rotating fields outside of motors, as if RMFs were virtual/unreal/without consequences, meaning and properties unless they cause the rotation of a ponderable ferromagnetic rotor (...iron filings included).

Mags,

You seek a video demo of a rotating field using a toroid- Here is one I made that undoubtablely shows a virtual rotating field that is very responsive to a compass.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD3sZdVnIrs

A rotating magnetic field can be created with any combination of phases that equals 360. As for the case of 0 and 90, you also have to use the mirror phases 180 / 270 , meaning both sides of the 2 coils OR 4 coils.

Also a rotating field can either be designed so the flux rotates outside the core OR inside the core.  Using polyphase usually results in the field rotating outside the core.

Thank you for that video, but it's likely that Mags is going to reply that this is nothing unusual with 36 coils (probably not even connected as 18 diametrically opposite pairs in series) but with 4 coils (connected as 2 diametrically opposite pairs in series) it:
  • would not work, or
  • would work stepwise, or
  • the direction of rotation would be nondeterministic.

Guys,

I have moved the "Lenz Drag" discussion to the thread "I Got a Speedup Effect".  It did not belong in this TPU thread.

first off, thanks for the continued belittlement of me. thats you i guess.
maybe you dont really read my posts. my earlier suggestion of a standard dc armature that is stationary and just rotate the brushes would be a nice example of field rotation. but that is in the wind now i suppose.

being that flood has done many experiments with rotating fields and claims no evidence of any gains, ill ride with him on that. so you keep rotating your fields and ill keep on with what im contemplating.  the rotation of the field this way is nothing more than an emulated spinning magnet.  thats all you got.

hey flood.
that vid is a perfect example of what i explained earlier. beautiful representation. but, with the coil setup of the tpu bottom ring coils cannot accomplish that.  the arrangement of where the poles of the windings with only 2  phased inputs cannot even drive that motor presented earlier.  that motor is an altered example that i cannot accept in this case of the tpu windings. that is my arguement.

i had to recover this post from your thread and cut the half out that reffered to verp.  i dont like this bs with shuffling and deleting. he started the super conducting crap in the first place.  should have known better then.

in my reply above, that was posted before verp posted what i quoted above. thats where it should have stayed. im just stating this to have continuity of context showing i did like your presentation before he belittled me after moving my post. down right bs.

now, i need to screenshot everything just to maintain any quality of life here.

thanks for that.  im done with rotating field here.  im on another path. have been and i believe the rotating field is a distraction.

and one more thing, the vid verp has presented of the magnet dropped above the super ring, also had another example showing a heavier magnet drop, of which the mag does fall through and the super ring does reverse its current. so his proofs shown, in sim mind you, does not hold water here.

I am not clear on what motor you were trying to drive and how you were tryiong to drive it.  I have not attempted to decode the TPU so I do not want to redirect the flow of the convo. But I have studied and built many rotating field devices, which related to your questions.

The problem with 2 phase rotating field (or any rotating field in general) -->  when used to induce output it fails to deliver impressive results because the lack of magnetic opposing force against the output field.  The output coil has nothing (or very little) to push off of.

Think of a choke..  When driven by AC, the coil has no other field to oppose so it makes it extremely reactive which impedes the pipeline.     This is exactly what happens when we induce a coil with a virtual rotating field.  The output coil has nothing to oppose, so the output power is trivial at best.

I personally think it is solvable by instituting a shorted coil somehow into the setup which it's only purpose is to oppose the output coil. We basically give the output coil 2 roles, not only is it an output coil, but it also takes the role of a primary which induces the shorted coil.  But it has to be done in such a way what the shorted coil remains blind to the primary fields rotating flux.

The geometry to make this work remains elusive to me as of yet.  But I have a new idea I started to build out which I have hope accomplishes it..

Regarding your toroid pic, your coil setup may do it, but as I see, the primary rotating field would need to be 4 pole virtual rotation and only have 2 output coils connecting to the upper ring. The 2 output coils should be induced with the same polarity on the same phase.  They should then oppose each other through the top ring and scalable output may be possible.

But if the output coils are induced with different polarities at the same time, the flux of the outputs are not opposed and the output will suck.   2 properly opposed output coils will produce MUCH MORE energy than 10 non-opposed chokes.

the motor doesnt matter to me really.  to me the rotating field in that thread is a null point in my case. dont worry about that.

sorry this all got posted here...

I agree with Mags that a rotating magnetic field (RMF) is not worth considering as a torque generator in the TPU because the TPU does not have a rotor that could be affected by such torque.

However RMF is worth considering for other reasons, because it separates charged particles of different polarity.   Like a Lorentz fan...
RMF also affects the precession of some nuclei.

Hello Folks,

I continued my research and found this here from a pastor Bruce who had a youtube-channel TPUBruce which does not exist any longer.
In the archive there is just the first Video left which works, he had a series of 7 in the section "TPU Theory Videos"

https://web.archive.org/web/20160315111024/http://tpupower.net/tpu-theory-videos.php

Now this guy has a new channel with just one TPU-related video here (sound-volume is very low)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pux_QHARA5Y

He is describes the perpendiculat blow-out along high-current inrush into cables as this occured in heavy DC-motors which was experienced by Edison which might cause induction in other cables which are nearby.

Suggestion: Perhaps the moderator could contact this pastor and invite him here to share his insights or reload these 7 parts on his new channel ?

I remember very long time ago a report with detailed pictures on this phaenomenon but am unable to find it

Spherics stated that you can reproduce this effect by applying a high voltage over a lower voltage, across a coil. When the lower voltage is around 500v and the upper voltage is around 10kv, you get the tesla stinging rays and cooling breezes. Also, apparently from him, 15khz hurts like hell, like a heating effect. The lower voltage would always be applied to the coil, but isolated via diodes. One of his units used a minimum of 50 volts for the lower level and at least 400 volts above that for the higher level, could produce the same radiant effect.

looks like the runaway situation
inrush current produce radiant energy which induce more current which is used to create bigger inrush current and so on
radiant energy being vibrational wave in Earth field

I remember every Christmas “Bruce TPU” would come into Stephen’s ( overunity.com) and give kind of an update
and I also believe he had a membership group that helped finance his TPU research and builds ?I believe it was a membership group ( like today’s patreon) that he shared information with.
I’m not sure where it eventually ended up?
but I will absolutely reach out to him and see if I can get him on the phone and report back.
I’ll do that this coming week.( I believe i did speak with him years ago ( maybe a decade or ??

Will be fun to speak with him..
Respectfully
Chet K
Ps
yes I will ask about These 7 videos…( or whatever he can share…and report back here .

@chet, thank you for your effort.

There are two files I attach here, one is the full document starting with a text of SM himself which I have extracted - annoying 8 point
letter size :( - and put this text into the second document SM-TPU-Start-Article.pdf.

In this text SM reports about a deadly accident with a color tv satting that this "had impact on me at that time"

That is the reason I remembered the blow-out-effect and after that found BruceTPUs vid.

i remeber hearing some of the things in the second 'start' pdf.  but as i read it, things seem a bit outlandish, with the tv exploding..once i had gotten to the last page, it seemed like the person talking was on drugs. jump from this subject to that subject sentences. some of it was intriguing but ill have to read again to see if i buy into it

reading the other one now.
