hey flood. that vid is a perfect example of what i explained earlier. beautiful representation. but, with the coil setup of the tpu bottom ring coils cannot accomplish that. the arrangement of where the poles of the windings with only 2 phased inputs cannot even drive that motor presented earlier. that motor is an altered example that i cannot accept in this case of the tpu windings. that is my arguement.
and one more thing, the vid verp has presented of the magnet dropped above the super ring, also had another example showing a heavier magnet drop, of which the mag does fall through and the super ring does reverse its current. so his proofs shown, in sim mind you, does not hold water here.

I am not clear on what motor you were trying to drive and how you were tryiong to drive it. I have not attempted to decode the TPU so I do not want to redirect the flow of the convo. But I have studied and built many rotating field devices, which related to your questions. The problem with 2 phase rotating field (or any rotating field in general) --> when used to induce output it fails to deliver impressive results because the lack of magnetic opposing force against the output field. The output coil has nothing (or very little) to push off of. Think of a choke.. When driven by AC, the coil has no other field to oppose so it makes it extremely reactive which impedes the pipeline. This is exactly what happens when we induce a coil with a virtual rotating field. The output coil has nothing to oppose, so the output power is trivial at best. I personally think it is solvable by instituting a shorted coil somehow into the setup which it's only purpose is to oppose the output coil. We basically give the output coil 2 roles, not only is it an output coil, but it also takes the role of a primary which induces the shorted coil. But it has to be done in such a way what the shorted coil remains blind to the primary fields rotating flux. The geometry to make this work remains elusive to me as of yet. But I have a new idea I started to build out which I have hope accomplishes it.. Regarding your toroid pic, your coil setup may do it, but as I see, the primary rotating field would need to be 4 pole virtual rotation and only have 2 output coils connecting to the upper ring. The 2 output coils should be induced with the same polarity on the same phase. They should then oppose each other through the top ring and scalable output may be possible. But if the output coils are induced with different polarities at the same time, the flux of the outputs are not opposed and the output will suck. 2 properly opposed output coils will produce MUCH MORE energy than 10 non-opposed chokes.
